Rare 2022 Ferrari Monza SP1 Up For Auction

Part of Ferrari’s exclusive Icona series, the Monza SP1 offers a unique driving experience inspired by the legendary 750 Monza of the 1950s. Its design is a fusion of Ferrari’s storied racing heritage and cutting-edge technology.

The Monza SP1’s body is crafted from carbon fiber and boasts dramatic scissor doors and a single-piece front clamshell. Beneath the clamshell lies a formidable 6.5-liter V12 engine borrowed from the Ferrari 812 Superfast. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, this engine produces a staggering 799 horsepower and 530 pound-feet of torque.

With optimized intake ducts and a recalibrated ECU, the Monza SP1 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed exceeding 299 km/h. Notably, the car lacks a traditional windscreen, instead featuring Ferrari’s innovative “Virtual Wind Shield,” which creates a protective airflow around the driver.

With only 499 examples built of the Monza SP1 and SP2 models, this 2022 Ferrari Monza SP1, scheduled for auction by RM Sotheby’s on November 23, is a rare find. Now with 1,903 kilometers on the odometer, this example with chassis 244381 boasts a Titanium Grey finish with a striking Giallo Modena livery across the rear fin and bonnet.

Unique touches include airbrushed Scuderia shields, yellow brake calipers, and extensive carbon fiber accents on the engine cover, wheel arches, rear diffuser, and front air vents. Inside, a GT2 monocoque racing seat in Cioccolato leather, with a four-point harness, features a Testa di Moro Cavallino logo and a yellow tachometer. Extras include a suspension lifter, parking cameras, and carbon fiber luggage compartment.
