Hey guys, as some of you may know, fellow forum member Donnie (M3SQRD) has been battling some major health issues. He has shared some of this publicly already, but it stems from some serious abdominal complications arising from prior spinal surgery (hes already undergone about 10 procedures for the spine alone). Following those he has had numerous abdominal operations already with portions of his bowel removed, has required receiving nutrition intravenously (not by mouth), and has ongoing issues with symptoms related to intestinal blockages. Prior surgeries have led to temporary relief, but its a catch-22 situation as the surgeries themselves can promote more scarring between the intestines that can then lead to more issues with blockages, the need for additional surgery, etc, in a vicious cycle. He requires another abdominal surgery that will impose an $18,000 out of pocket expense. The cumulative medical bills over this years-long saga have racked up considerably, and its becoming a real struggle. Hes not been able to work since 2021, and his long-term disability benefits are ending in a few months. Donnies been parting-out some of his BMW stuff to fund the surgery, which is how I learned the details of the situation.
I can certainly attest as Im sure many others here would that over the years Donnie has been very generous with his contributions to forum members publicly, through PMs, and more recently the unofficial forum Discord server. This is particularly true for those of us who like to drive fast on a racetrack and want to learn how to set up our cars suspension to extract maximal performance.
If theres ever a situation where we could work together to help out a fellow member and true enthusiast, this seems like it would be it! Ive started a GoFundMe for Donnie, and am really hoping many of you will consider donating what you can. Ive made a contribution to kick things off. Particularly for those of us who track our cars and have benefitted from Donnies knowledge in any way, please consider contributing generously. Consider converting one budgeted future track day registration fee to a contribution. If all of us did that, wed take a big chunk out of that expense!

And finally, for obvious reasons, please socialize the link in whatever way you are able. I wouldnt have the knowledge/ability to do what Im doing with my car now without the shared wisdom and knowledge of people around here. Hopefully we can maintain that kind of spirit and all pitch in with our wallets too! Please join me. Thanks for considering.
