Fans of Volvo’s pure electric car models can look forward to the near future as Volvo has recently signed an agreement with Tesla. Because of this agreement, both current and future EV Volvo vehicles will be able to use Tesla’s incredible Supercharger network. With 12,000 new charging points, life is about to get much easier for electric drivers.
This agreement marks a significant achievement for Volvo, as through this agreement they’ve expanded the reach and performance of their electric vehicles. Additionally, this gets them much closer to their goal of being fully electric by the year 2030.
Volvo understands that the key to converting more drivers to pure electric vehicles is by creating a charging infrastructure that they can trust. Accomplishing this means charging should be accessible, easy, and efficient. That’s where their partnership with Tesla comes in.
Tesla offers a Supercharger network that is only expected to grow in the coming years. Through their agreement, Volvo will gain access to the existing 12,000 charging points. Soon, drivers in the United States, Mexico, and Canada will gain the ability to charge their electric cars across various points in the country in a quick and easy way so they can keep their journey going.
