With the order books opened for the Zeekr X in Malaysia earlier this month, the Chinese brand has shown pictures of the Premium 2WD on its Facebook page, depicted in the Genting Highlands area; the brand is taking registrations of interest, here.
This being the single-motor powertrain variant that starts from RM180k, the Zeekr X Premium 2WD slots beneath the Flagship AWD in the two-variant line-up, and the Premium 2WD shares its battery with its Flagship sibling, that being the nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery with 66 kWh of net capacity (69 kWh gross capacity).
Motive power for the Premium 2WD is a single 272 PS/343 Nm motor driving the rear wheels, propelling this variant of the Zeekr X from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
For comparison, the Flagship AWD packs a 428 PS/543 Nm dual-motor powertrain driving all four wheels, enabling a 0-100 km/h run of 3.8 seconds. Naturally, the Premium 2WD does more range from the same battery at 440 km (WLTP), compared to the Flagship AWD’s range of 420 km (WLTP).
Both variants top out at 190 km/h, and support DC charging at up to 150 kW, with which it will take a 10-80% recharge in around 30 minutes. For AC charging, Singapore market specifications disclose a maximum capacity of 7.2 kW for the Premium RWD, and 11 kW for the Flagship AWD, bringing a full charge this way in around seven hours.
Exterior kit for the Zeekr X includes LED headlamps and DRLs, while inside it gets an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, plus seven airbags. ADAS kit includes AEB, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, lane centring control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, front and rear cross traffic alert, assisted parking and driver monitoring.
Of the exterior colours available for the Zeekr X, this example is Pine Green, which will be joined in the selection by Crystal White, Mist Grey, Grid Grey and Palace Beige. Inside, upholstery comes in a single choice of two-tone scheme that is Charcoal Black and Stone Grey.
