HOUSTON — SmartAC.com Inc., which offers HVAC and plumbing monitoring technology, is partnering with Wrench Group, a home services company that operates in 28 markets across 15 states.

The partnership will bring SmartAC.com’s monitoring technology into Wrench Group’s network. Wrench Group service providers and their customers will have the ability to leverage data obtained through remote monitoring to catch issues before they become emergencies, a press release from SmartAC.com said. This proactive approach leads to fewer expensive HVAC and plumbing service calls for homeowners, reduces downtime, and extends lifespans of plumbing and HVAC systems.

“Partnering with Wrench Group is a huge milestone for us,” said Josh Teekell, CEO of SmartAC.com. “Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction matches our mission perfectly. Together, we’ll leverage these new tech-enabled approaches to making home comfort simpler and more reliable for everyone.”

“We are excited about this new partnership with SmartAC.com, as we initially roll it out at our Abacus (Houston, Texas) and Parker & Sons (Phoenix, Arizona) locations,” said Ken Haines, Wrench Group’s CEO. “And since it does not require our customers to change out their thermostat, we believe all our customers can benefit from the technology. We look forward to expanding it across our platform.”

SmartAC.com’s platform, powered by custom sensors, provides contractors and homeowners with an easy and cost-effective way to keep track of HVAC and plumbing systems, the press release said. The system’s contractor dashboard gives actionable insights to drive revenue, while homeowners get monthly system health reports and alerts for filter changes and potential water damage. The SmartAC.com app includes features like auto-restocking of air filters and live video chat with technicians, features that enhance maintenance plan retention by making it easy for homeowners to stay on top of their maintenance needs, the press release said.
