Alright, it’s about time for me to decide on my suspension upgrade/replacement and I’d love y’all’s input. Honestly my only complaint with the GT6 has been the harsh ride and ideally I would like to tame that a little bit while preserving the KPAX-ness of the car as much as possible.

Combing through this forum in the past months I’ve gathered that the OEM R Design suspension is notoriously harsh, but also that (obviously) the springs have a big impact. I’m currently on the stock struts with KPAX springs, so I’ve got both contributing to my ride.

I’m completely satisfied with my stance, so it would really be shame to lose that, but I’m willing to listen to voices of reason.

So I see four main paths:

  1. Keep it the same and live with it. Replace OEM kit with OEM kit, keep springs. Don’t fix what ain’t broke!
  2. Swap to B8’s and risk even more harsh ride. I had Bilsteins on my C30 and genuinely enjoyed them (firm yet not harsh), but the consensus seems to be that they can be awfully harsh on these P3s

  3. Swap to Koni Special Actives. These seem to be exactly what I am looking for in preserving sportiness while generally being more comfortable, and they seem shockingly cheap. I was about to move on these when I saw p.rico’s experience. Definitely still leaning this way, but I would like to hear opinions.

  4. Go all out with some bonkers KW coilover kit that is nearly reaching Öhlins levels of wallet pain.

Lastly, while I am in there what else should I just go ahead and do? I really appreciated p.rico pointing out to grab tie rod ends, but could I go even further? The GT6 is sitting at 71k miles so I doubt I would be leaving too much life on the table for things like control arms and end links. I’m planning on calling up FCP Euro or IPD whenever the day comes and triple checking my shopping list, but I’d love to hear what you all think should be on it.
