The VW ID. Buzz implies a new step in the development of the electric car. This model is a start for VW as an all-electric van that has not been experimented on through the years. Buzz’s goal is to guarantee that electric commercial vehicles can be as practical and enjoyable as their internal combustion engine counterparts.

The design of the VW ID. Buzz is reminiscent of the legendary Volkswagen Microbus that shaped popular culture in the 1960s. Buzz states that he has an opinion that e-cars are not boring and devoid of soul.

Originally, Buzz will offer two battery options with a range of up to 340 to 250 miles. As for local travel and urban delivery routes, it should be sufficient, particularly when it is used in combination with other similar vehicles within a fleet.

Hitting the Road

The first ID. was launched in 2022. Buzz vans for commercial customers and shuttle services will come as part of individual orders, with 2023 as the year when they will be delivered to private customers. As cargo vans are now the lifeline of many operations in Britain, the ID.

I believe that Buzz could be an excellent local emission-free workhorse. In this role, VW proclaims the ID. Buzz will also be in a position to support rapid charging of the battery and AA from 5-80% in 30 minutes. This will assist in maintaining low downtimes for the operators, who are usually booked with a lot of activities.
