Hey guys! I hope you’re having a great day. Thank you for clicking on to my thread, If you have any Ideas, or solutions, all feedback Is very much appreciated!

I’ll get right to the details. Ever since my family has had our 2015.5 Volvo XC60 T6 Platinum, we have wondered If there was a way to Remote Start It! (Engine Remote Start!) We live In a very cold mountain environment that snows VERY frequently, and with an early morning commute, It Is not very much fun to star your car In FREEZING weather. I wish we could have that on the P2’s for sure, but ever since we have purchased our “new-to-us” 2015.5 XC60 T6 Platinum Ocean Race, We didn’t realize what we were missing. I was talking to my buddy Ian, and he asked me to give It a try on “The Ocean Race.” IT WORKED, It actually has remote start! My family has really fallen In love with It, so we now have a tricky debacle with trying to Install It on my Mom’s!

I was talking to my buddy Ian, and he was mentioning how he Installed Remote Start on his S60 T6 Platinum, using a software called P3Tool. This was before we bought “The Ocean Race,” but I KNEW I wanted to do It as well! After quite a bit of trouble, I talked to jp_swe (Shout out to Johnny, He’s so nice!) I Installed P3Tool on my external hard drive I use for VIDA, It has all of the proper drivers for DiCE! It was a rather annoying process because I am a pigeon, and my brain can’t compute anything, It was READY.

So, I hooked up my new Deltran Battery Tender! I bought a 3 Amp battery charger for ALL OF THE P O W A. It really hasn’t lived up to It’s reputation, and that Is the problem I have been dealing with! Not to mention, Has anyone noticed how there are ZERO consistent reliable guides for how to jump start a 3.0 SI6? That Is RIDICULOUS, after all of these years.

I had hooked up my brand new Battery Tender, and It seemed to be doing something? I GUESS? LOL. But, I started the CEM Pin Search on P3Tool (If you would like more Information on that, I would highly recommend checking out Johnny’s thread! Although that wasn’t particularly clear, I found this AWESOME website called NordCarolina, such a great community we have here.) And after I started the search, I let the PIN search do It’s thing! But, I noticed the voltage was dropping, not very quickly, but It was a consistent loss. It was at a rate of 257 keys per second on average!

MAYBE my pigeon brain just thought that “any Delran Battery Tender would trickle charge, It’ll work!” I MEAN, It’s In the NAME! Battery Tender. LOL. But, I have found that for me, I also used a janky battery charger with wheels and a handle, It couldn’t live up to the task EITHER. P3Tool was doing great, but It has completely emptied the XC60’s battery, TWICE! I thought I killed the CEM, That wouldn’t have been very fun, to say the LEAST. We got very lucky, and the XC60 started up completely fine after both of my attempts, PHEW!

I’m so sorry for that rant! Would you guys have any recommendations? This CEM Pin finder just pulls SO. MUCH. POWER, I am just wondering, What am I going to do? That Is the only weak link In this process. I even tried to use the charger for an entire night to bring the battery up to 12.6 Volts, I would start the CEM Pin Search, my silly battery tender would only slow down the Inevitable, and It killed It the battery then as well. (That was my 2nd, kind of third attempt!) I am very confused! Would you guys have any recommendations before I start throwing more money at the problem?
Thank you guys so much! I really appreciate your kindness, and your time. Any feedback whatsoever would be appreciated!

T.D.L.R; (Too Long, Didn’t Read!) (I mean I know we’re not REDDIT. LOL.) My Mom’s XC60 can’t use P3Tool’s CEM Pin Search for very long, My 3 Amp Delran Battery Tender can’t counteract the load that P3Tool Is putting on the CEM! Would you have any recommendations on a great battery tender to use? It has killed this battery twice! Thank you guys so much, I hope you have an amazing day!
