Today’s G90 / G99 M5 drivers are often left hearing more from the speakers than from the engine. U.S spec cars are equipped with 2 large resonators on the catback muffling a sound. And European spec car also include restrictive OPF filters. The stock setup filters and fakes the experience, leaving the true sound potential of the car buried—even with M Sound settings enabled.

Our sound engineers got to work and we are now ready to present a solution for a livelier driving experience. A complete performance exhaust solution that replaces the restrictive factory setup with high-flow or catted primary downpipes, catless secondary downpipes, and a valvetronic catback. Two large resonators are replaced with a streamlined exhaust setup feauturing x-pipe. And OPF filters are bypassed for Europe spec cars. And there’s already tuning solutions (ECU coding or a remap) in the market to address error lights triggered by their removal.

Leave muted sound tones and be welcomed back into M car-worthy soundtrack with our setup that delivers aggressive tone with 34dB volume increase over stock with our complete setup. We’re comparing the sound volume increase to our R&D car that was equipped with OPF.

On U.S.-spec vehicles, however, the stock system lacks functional valves entirely. Unlike older M models like the F90, the G90’s OEM exhaust has no mechanical or electronic valve control. And M Sound button does not control the factory exhaust valves because they’re not present on U.S.-spec models. Instead, it affects ASD-generated sound and deceleration burbles.

That’s why with our valvetronic exhaust system, we include a standalone remote—giving you real, physical control over the exhaust valves. This lets you easily switch between a refined daily setup and a raw M-Performance profile, independent of BMW’s settings.
