V60 Recharge Questions (prospective owner) | SwedeSpeed

Currently looking at replacing my X1 (m35) with a V60.
The primary reason is size.. I underestimated the space a rear facing child seat would take and because of that, the front passenger seat is all the way forward making things cramped.

I’ve identified the V60 as in generally i just have an adversion to large SUV’s… i really like the width of the X1, just need more length. If i move up to a x3/5 or equivalent, i start adding unwanted width/height… I also have a lift in my garage which limits width. So that really leaves me with wagons as an alternative and here in the states that really narrows things down… basically just the A4 allroad and this (a6/E class is too large).

My concerns lie in the overall reliability of Volvo versus my BMW(s) which have historically been pretty good. Some warranty issue here and there, but by and large ive had a long history for BMW DD’s (E92 M3, F80 M3 x2, F87 M2, G20 m340i), all of which have been great.

Reading here about issues (mostly related to tech/headunit) have me worried..

Some random questions i have:

1) How is the AAOS experience as of today for newer V60s? Are owners still having to reset / clear cache every week? Hoping that Volvo has introduced new hardware behind the scenes at some point versus 2020-2022 models.

2) I understand that a large update will come sometime in Q1.. is there a list of changes? I saw a video of the new XC90 and someone was clicking around and it DID have that, so im assuming the v60 will get it as well.

3) I did notice that on the current version, there is no way to have the Reverse / 360 camera on the same screen (really a horrible use of real estate).. any idea if the big update will fix that?

4) Do all of the doors unlock at the end of a trip, or is that an option?
5) This car does NOT have proximity sensors for entry correct? Meaning i need to pull the handle to unlock.. will one pull unlock all doors?

6) Will the front camera automatically engage when you approach a close object (parking curb)

7) Can you have two pones connected (one Bluetooth, another Carplay)
8) are the Carplay maps full screen?

Really appreciate the help here! I’m giving up a good bit of tech coming from a new gen BMW, which i’m mostly okay with, but there are a lot of minor conveniences im used to that i want to make sure i retain.

Outside of the above, i did test drive one and really enjoyed it. car has plenty of power and a good amount of room.
I currently have a pretty good deal worked out (10% off MSRP before the 7500$ lease credit.. so basically $58,650 which i think is a very strong.. even though it still leases like **** due to the MF.
