Updated W/ Wiring Problem DTC’s, Identifying Harness loom and wiring problems. | SwedeSpeed

Here is the file straight from my Autel scan tool it’s a PDF file I figured it would be easier to look at. I beileve almost all of these are for wiring issues. Just don’t know where half of these things are the DTC’s are refering too. Throughout this week I’m going to check all the fuses and wires around the CEM and the fuse box under the hood. Is one of those codes stopping my heat from working in the car? It’s amazing this car runs and drives lol

Autel Diagnostic Report Adobe Acrobat

As you guys know I just recently purchased a 09 S40 T5 R-Design that sat for 2 yrs. I am currently bringing it back to life with some much needed love and maintenance. I just recently got it inspected the only thing they found wrong was a rear strut is blown out. They did me a solid it shouldn’t of passed to be honest but the car is gonna sit and get the work done it needs I only wanted it inspected so I can take it on test drives as I’m fixing it. He told me the car is safe nothing that’s gonna put anybody in danger ok good. I fix all my cars and keep up with them I even change the oil on all my cars every 2K miles and no were not getting into that discussion.

I must say engine and trans wise this car runs great it really does but man the suspension and electrical in this car is gonna be a straight nightmare…. electrical mainly.

Problem 1:

I just started getting into this car and ordering a bunch of parts I mean a bunch. I just swapped out all the bulbs in the whole car with LED for whatever reason the driver side headlight the running lights don’t work the small 194 bulbs not the headlight bulbs im talking the corner light and the other one in between the headlight and high beam light they just do not work. The passenger side one works perfectly. I was thinking a fuse but I would think the whole headlight wouldn’t work or both headlight running lights wouldn’t work. I don’t know much about this car yet so maybe a fuse but after I found some exposed wires which kinda pissed me off a little bit now I’m unsure what to even do now (See Photos).

Problem 2:

The photo is the passenger side strut tower loom that runs around it smaller harness 5 -6 wires in it. I don’t know where it goes exactly or what exactly that particular loom runs but If someone left these wires like that in the photos what else am I gonna find in this car. I mean should I just replace the whole harness in the entire car cause this car has electrical problems mostly everything works that I know of but I don’t drive this car much as I’m focused on fixing it but it seems there are more problems than I can see.
