All M cars are designed for the brakes not to overheat. I am part of BMW CCA and every year we have a 3 days of tracking the cars at the performance center in Greer S.C. Cars get the beat up for 5 hours lapping the tracks so forth. Brakes never skip a beat. Tires are a different matter lol. The performance center runs Conties tires.

Thats awesome to hear sounds like an incredible experience getting to track the cars at the Performance Center! BMW really does engineer the M cars to take a serious beating, especially when it comes to braking performance. Its reassuring to know they hold up so well under extended track conditions. And yeah, tires are always the first to wave the white flag, especially those Contis! 😂
Thanks! Appreciate it. 😄 And yeah, youre right not worth the energy. Let em starve! 😂

Did 2 day M school and all of their cars had CCBs. Did have an M5 throw a brake error after a particularly hard deceleration but they swapped it out right away.
Took my G80 M3 to the track 2 weeks ago (steel brakes) and had no issues with overheating, but I did remove the small plastic duct covers from the front wheel wells prior to the session.

That sounds like an awesome experience! CCBs definitely shine at M School, especially with how hard those cars get pushed. Good call on pulling the plastic duct covers on your G80 that extra airflow makes a big difference for cooling. Always impressive how well the steel brakes hold up, too. Any plans to go back out again soon?

Head to the Nuerburgring for a TF or Trackday and take a look around . M3/4s of all generations hold their own against all manner of cars, to include GT3s.

Absolutely! The Ring is the ultimate equalizer, and its always impressive to see how well M3s and M4s perform out there. Balanced chassis, strong brakes, and real-world usability go a long way. Seeing them mix it up with GT3s says a lot about how capable these cars really are in the right hands.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching!
Thanks! Yes Im on stock fluid.
I havent timed myself. From the video it looks to be 1:14 and no traffic and pushing it faster I can probably click off a 1:13 maybe 1:12
