It’s been a while since I have the car (beginning of March) but it is just now to have time to write about this masterpiece here.
It is a masterpiece … it is a an alien starship just landed …
The beginning:
The first news about the M5 Touring brought me to life… and I immediately called my partners, instructing them to keep me updated as soon as the car became available for order.
The time finally came – in September 2024, I placed my order in the BMW system.
After countless nights spent exploring the individual visualizer, I decided to go wild… something way different (not black, not white, not grey – I hate the ordinary!). This car deserves something truly special, something that highlights every single angle, something that makes it even more imposing than ever! And for me, there was only one choice – Frozen Purple Metallic!
This color is the most unique across all brands – it’s exclusive to BMW. Even a regular purple is quite rare, but Frozen Purple… that’s one of a kind!
Next, it was time to select the interior. Well, I had no choice but to go for the most vibrant option – Kyalami Orange! Again, this is something only BMW offers. It makes the interior super unique and fancy, shining like the sun inside. Black, white, red – you see those on many other brands and models. But orange? That’s BMW (or, in rare cases, Ferrari and Lamborghini).
Then came the wheels – Bicolor 951, of course. Black ones just don’t look right to me; they make the car look like it’s sitting on steel rims without wheel covers. And to complement my vibrant color choices, I went with red brake calipers for a high-contrast look!
Check out the outstanding result below!
March 3rd:
It was time to pick up my precious.
(Actually, the car was produced 20 days earlier, but I didn’t have time to pick it up immediately.)
I fell in love at first sight…
Until that moment, I had never seen this color in person. (I had only seen some pictures online, but they didn’t represent the color correctly at all.)
March 3rd – 10th:
I spent a week driving across Central Europe at a maximum of 120–130 km/h to properly break in the engine – no hard accelerations, just gentle cruising.
I visited BMW HQ in Munich, BMW Welt, and the BMW Museum.
Parking the beast right in front of the entrance to BMW Welt created a spectacular scene! For 10 minutes, while I was taking photos of the car, every single person who passed by (around 100 people) stopped and stared at it with jaw-dropping expressions… just like they were witnessing an alien starship landing! It was almost impossible to take proper pictures. This is a moment I will never forget!
Everywhere I park, the car immediately steals the show… it is impossible not to mention this incredible machine.
March 10th:
Oil change and inspection at exactly 2000km.
Since March 10th:
It is an incredible machine – you will never, ever feel its weight, you will never, ever experience a lack of power at any speed, and you will never, ever reach the limits of this beast.
On my way back, I drove through several mountain passes with exciting hairpin turns… OMG! This thing devours the tarmac. I could write endlessly about it, but it wouldn’t do it justice – you need to experience it to believe it.
The only car with many faces – why? You get 69 km of electric driving (yes, it actually shows me 69 km on a full battery!), it’s super comfortable, and the seats… OMG, the seats are the most comfortable ever!
Then, if you choose, press M1 once, and it shifts into a perfect balance between comfort and sport for light sporty driving. Then there’s M2… OMG, M2! The car transforms completely – turning into a track weapon in a touring form.
Just two hours ago, a friend asked me why anyone would need an M5 in a touring version. My answer? To be able to transport a washing machine at 300 km/h. As simple as that!

P.S.
You’ll see in the photos that the registration plate is AVTOMOBIL.ME (https://avtomobil.me/en/).
This is my (at the time of writing this initial rough version/mock-up) website, representing what we can offer to true automobile enthusiasts – the ability to configure their brand-new cars (BMW, Audi, Volvo) and get the best possible price on the market. Well, it might sound unreal at first glance…
So, how does it work? I’ve been working as an IT consultant (Qlik Sense, Microsoft Power BI) since 2010, primarily for major automobile manufacturers and dealers across Europe, and I have built strong connections in this industry. Being a huge automobile fan, having these connections, and understanding the automotive business drove me to create avtomobil.me (“avtomobil” ≈ “automobile”) – a platform that gives people the opportunity to configure their dream car at an unbeatable price!
I’d be more than happy to help – especially if someone reading this forum is interested. Just contact me with your build!
Finally:
Stay safe and be mindful when pressing the accelerator pedal – I made the mistake of pressing it juuust a little too much (on a 90 km/h limit, I hit 150 km/h for just a second), and it cost me 150 EUR, straight into the personal pockets of some great police officers in Romania (I was chased down with lights flashing… )
