Brabus is not shy when it comes to the cars its creates. We have covered many of its recent creations on our website, which you can see at this link. But this is one of its crazier machines, and its called the Brabus 1000 GT63S. This car is based, as with many Brabus models, on an existing AMG. In this case the starting point is the Mercedes-AMG GT63s E-performance. As the name suggests, system output is 1000 hp.

Powertrain engineering

At the heart of the system is a twin‑turbo V8 enlarged to 4,5 litres up from the standard car’s 4,0. Induction is handled by two high‑performance turbochargers, exhaling through a stainless high‑performance exhaust. Electronically controlled butterfly valves enable a quiet ‘coming home’ mode or a more powerful V8 soundtrack depending on drive mode.

A Brabus engine management system co‑ordinates the combustion engine and the e‑motor on the rear axle for optimal power delivery. The ICE alone is rated at 585 kW and 1 250 Nm, electronically limited to 1 050 N.m. Combined peak power is 735 kW (1 000 hp) with a collective peak torque of 1 820 N.m —electronically managed to 1 620 N.m

Performance & drivetrain

  • 0–100 km/h: 2,6 sec
  • 0–300 km/h: 23,7 s
  • Top speed: 320 km/h , electronically limited
  • Transmission: nine‑speed automatic 4Matic+ all‑wheel drive
  • Hybrid module: rear‑axle electric motor rated at 150 kWwith its own automatic two‑speed gearbox

Aerodynamics, stance & wheels

High‑speed stability is handled by wind‑tunnel‑developed, exposed‑structure carbon components. These include a front spoiler with raised side flaps, canards, radiator‑grille inserts, design extensions aft of the front arches and a fixed rear wing.

The visual and dynamic stance is completed by forged wheels, 21-inch front and 22 at the rear, wrapped in 305/30 335/25 high‑performance tyres, respectively. Sports springs, developed with KW, are height‑adjustable and enable a ride‑height reduction of up to 20 mm.

Interior: Masterpiece specification

The Masterpiece cabin features black leather throughout with microfiber for the headliner. Seat centres and door inners wear ‘shell’‑design quilting with precision perforations, echoed on floor mats and the trunk liner. Select elements honour Brabus’s 1977 founding via a ‘Heritage’ brand pattern with embossed ’77’ logos. Carbon scuff plates with a backlit logo sync with ambient lighting.
