Motor Trader is proud to announce Solera cap hpi as network partner for the Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards (WiMIA).
On Thursday 4 December 2025, at the prestigious Marriott Grosvenor Square in London, these awards will shine a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of women across every part of the motor industry.
Wendy Swaine, Head of Sales – Strategic Partners & Retail at cap hpi, said: “The industry must come together to create a more inclusive and supportive environment where women are not only welcomed but empowered to succeed.
“This means challenging outdated stereotypes, investing in education and training, promoting female role models, and ensuring that workplaces offer the flexibility, mentorship, and career progression that women need and deserve.
“Fortunately, progress is being made. More organisations are launching initiatives aimed at attracting women into automotive roles and celebrating their achievements. Campaigns, scholarships, apprenticeships, and leadership programmes specifically designed to support women are gaining momentum. But there is still much to do.”
From commercial vehicles to motor retailing, these awards celebrate the talent, innovation, and leadership shaping the future of the sector.
Swaine added: “At Solera we are dedicated to highlighting and supporting the contributions of women across all areas of the business and inspiring the next generation to follow in their footsteps.
“By doing this we are already taking advantage of this talent pool to accelerate the pace of change, improve our product and service proposition and drive forward a more diverse, skilled, and sustainable future.
“Let us recognise the challenges, but more importantly, embrace the possibilities. The motor industry has always been a place of innovation and progress. Now is the time to ensure that it is also a place of inclusion and opportunity, for everyone.”
The deadline for nominations for the Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards has been extended to Friday 13 June 2025.
Nominations take just 2 minutes to complete — and Motor Trader encourages everyone across the sector to submit nominations for colleagues, team members, or industry peers.
