Ingrid joined our family in August 2020 and has been a trusty companion ever since. From Nashville to Colorado, Disney World, and the Grand Canyon, she’s proven herself reliable, resilient, and ready for any adventure. I’ll also include the OEM Volvo cross bars. We put an XL Thule Force cargo box on top when we travel.
Specs & Highlights:
• Mileage: 181,765 miles
• Entertainment: DVD players in the headrests for those long trips with kids
• Mechanical Condition: Runs strong and dependable, with regular maintenance and timely upgrades
• Cosmetic Condition: She’s a solid 5. A bit worn from life with kids, but full of character. If you’re looking for reliability over looks, she’s a perfect fit! Some would say she has a “great personality.”
Maintenance History:
• Oil Changes: Every 5k miles with Liqui-Moly 0w-40
• Recent Work:
• New AC blower motor and resistor (this summer)
• Cabin air filter (this summer)
• Rear shocks (this summer)
• Variable Timing Solenoid (this summer)
• AC compressor, water pump, pulleys, tensioner, and drive belt (last year)
• Thermostat (2022)
• All rotors and pads (2021)
• Tires: 2 from 2020, 2 from 2023 (solid tread)
Known Issues:
• Front sway bar bushings could use a replacement down the line, but Ingrid’s still solid for everyday driving.
• Lots of dings, dents and scratches. And peeling paint.
• It will come with 2 keys. The key fob doesn’t work. The glass transmitter inside was broken and we were quoted $500 to replace the key fob. We’ve been using the regular key for the past 3 years.
• The right rear door was damaged before we bought her. Looks like someone attempted to repair it, but didn’t do a great job.
• The rear door cards have lots of scratches, and the rear right door is missing the speaker cover.
• Stains in the carpet, and lots of signs all over that she was used a lot.
• Check engine light is on intermittently, with codes ECM-P042000 and ECM-P043000 (catalyst system efficiency). These codes are common and don’t impact performance; they turn on occasionally and stay off for months at a time.
This XC90 would be perfect for a first-time driver, commuter, or anyone looking for a safe, reliable car. She may not win any beauty contests, but she’s got the safety, comfort, and personality that makes Volvos legendary. Just keep her well-maintained, and she’ll be there for years to come.
Obviously, the XC90 will be sold as/is, with no warranty implied and no returns. I have the title in hand. If it’s posted, it’s available. I’m open to offers, but not for trades. We have already purchased a new car so I’m looking for a quick sale.
Feel free to reach out with any questions—and check out the photos to meet Ingrid!
