Shanice Love’s story isn’t one of straight lines—it’s a powerful, winding journey of courage, clarity, and unapologetic transformation. Born in Miami, Florida, Shanice was the eldest of six in a traditional Haitian household where love and discipline were deeply rooted, but identity, mental health, and healing were rarely spoken of. She graduated from North Miami Senior High in 2001, but the road to higher education wouldn’t unfold in the usual way. Life interrupted. Dreams were delayed. It would be sixteen years—and countless battles—before she earned her college degree. But when she finally walked across that stage at Barry University with a 3.75 GPA, her degree in Administration was more than an academic achievement—it was a victory lap. She was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma and Sigma Tau Delta honor societies, solidifying her academic excellence. Her personal journey ran parallel to that fight for education. Coming out as a lesbian meant losing her home, her family, and the stability she once knew. Shanice found herself in the shadows of society—unhoused, unheard, but never undone. That pain became her fuel. She confronted trauma head-on, rebuilt herself from the ground up, and emerged not just stronger, but deeply grounded in purpose. Over the last two decades, Shanice built a powerful presence in corporate America. Her professional ascent began in accounting and tax strategy, evolved through fintech and banking, and exploded into leadership and innovation. At Synchrony, she led transformative learning strategies that redefined workforce development across national teams. As VP and DEI champion, she drove cultural shifts, empowered future-ready leaders, and fostered belonging at every level. Her earlier role at Riskalyze saw her reshaping customer experience operations and leading teams through seamless remote transitions—all while driving measurable growth.

In 2023, she fully stepped into her calling. Shanice became the COO, Press & Media Editor, and Career & Money Editor at Hope Magazine. She also launched Akili Legacy Consulting, a firm dedicated to guiding organizations in building truly inclusive spaces through neurodiversity, cultural intelligence, and belonging. But that wasn’t her only act of radical self-investment that year. Shanice made a courageous choice to undergo weight loss surgery to reclaim her health—an empowering move that revealed deeper struggles with addiction. Refusing to be silenced or shamed, she chose sobriety not just for survival, but for liberation. That journey gave birth to Sage & Sobriety, a healing movement rooted in mindfulness, grace, and truth.

Today, Shanice is many things: COO. VP of Learning Innovation. Senior Project Manager. DEI Advocate. LGBTQ+ and Neurodiversity Champion. Press & Media Editor. Publicist. Keynote Speaker. Founder. And above all, a blueprint for what it looks like to rise, heal, and lead with purpose. Her influence extends far beyond boardrooms. She’s the visionary behind Less Hate, More Love, a nationally recognized gun buyback initiative that centers compassion in the fight against violence. Her life’s work flows through grassroots movements, media advocacy, mentorship, and a relentless pursuit of impact.

With every speech, strategy, and story, Shanice Love proves one thing loud and clear: You are not your trauma—you are your triumph. And healing, success, and joy aren’t just possible—they’re yours to claim.
