Service-based entrepreneurs have a chance to get off the financial treadmill in 2025 – Top Entrepreneurs Podcast

As we step into 2025 it is worth asking “Why are so many talented and driven female entrepreneurs stuck in cycles of overwhelm and undervaluation when it comes to their service based business?”

It’s not because they’re lacking in skill, ambition, or drive. The problem is structural, and the reality is that it is fixable.

The overwhelming mental load business owners carry is rarely acknowledged in entrepreneurial spaces especially with the rise of hustle culture and toxic positivity. It’s no surprise that this constant juggling act leads to inefficiency, missed opportunities, and ultimately exhaustion as delivering exceptional services while at the same being your own business development manager, marketer and finance director becomes an everyday occurrence.

CEOs are often taught to better under the workload of their teams, and how one individual cannot sustainably manage 3 jobs. We know that this leads to a culture of exhaustion and inefficiencies, yet we allow it for our own business.

Women are often conditioned to undervalue their work, afraid that asking for more will scare clients away. This isn’t just a financial issue, it’s a confidence issue. Charging what you’re worth in 2025 is about sending a message to yourself and your clients that your time and expertise is valuable.

Shaye Thyer

Entrepreneur and Chartered Accountant Shaye Thyer created the program WORTHY which is set to offer a lifeline to these women – equipping them with the tools, systems and strategies to get paid more with less stress and a stronger focus on what they truly do well.

“This program is about creating clarity,” says Shaye. “When women stop trying to do everything alone and instead embrace systems that work for them they unlock incredible potential—not just for their businesses but for their well being.”

Financial instability is a recurring source of anxiety for many women entrepreneurs, especially those navigating inconsistent cash flow.

WORTHY’s Insight to Action System™ introduces participants to tailored financial systems while offering a clear path from survival to stability. “This is about more than just numbers – it’s about giving women the confidence to take control of their financial futures. When you know your worth and have the tools to back it up you stop playing small.”

Without the right financial systems many women find themselves in an anxiety spiral making it nearly impossible to plan for the future. They are not scaling their businesses, they’re simply stuck on a treadmill of trading time for money.

Many business owners use financial tools like Xero or QuickBooks but they actually lack the understanding around how to turn that raw data into insights to help grow their business. That goes beyond tracking expenses; it is about understanding how to make strategic decisions that lead to sustainable business growth.

An insidious challenge is also the sense of isolation, where often women are left to navigate complex business decisions alone while male dominated networks  provide mentorship and support. This is not just a missed opportunity for connection, there is a missed opportunity for innovation.

Success isn’t just about revenue or client rosters, it’s about building businesses that are financially sustainable that don’t overwhelm us mentally while also being personally fulfilling.

Women need tools that drive efficiencies – from AI-driven admin assistants to automated workflows. These are necessities for reclaiming time and mental energy.

If women don’t make these shifts they risk perpetuating cycles of burnout and financial instability. They risk building businesses that take more than they give.

For those willing to take a hard look at their businesses and make changes, 2025 could be a turning point. Because women deserve more than survival. They deserve to thrive.

As the new year approaches WORTHY invites women entrepreneurs to take the first step toward transformation. Limited to just 10 participants per cohort the program ensures personalised attention and meaningful impact.

“Our mission is to help women build businesses that don’t just survive but thrive” Shaye emphasizes. “Because every woman deserves to feel worthy of success, balance, and joy.”

For those ready to embrace change and step into 2025 with clarity, confidence, and control – the WORTHY program offers not just a program but a partnership in achieving lasting success.
