Safaricom PLC (NSE: SCOM) has today announced the revamp of its business credit solutions through expanded partnerships with financial institutions, aimed at addressing credit accessibility for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across Kenya.

The enhanced credit products include Fuliza Biashara, Taasi Till, and Taasi Pochi, offering flexible financing options tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses. This move reinforces Safaricom’s continued commitment to deepening financial inclusion and empowering entrepreneurs with tools to drive growth.

Under the new offerings:

  • Fuliza Biashara allows Lipa na M-PESA merchants to access overdrafts from KES 1,000 to KES 400,000, based on their limits. Repayments are now more flexible, automatically recovered when funds flow into the business till, ensuring smooth business continuity.

  • Taasi Till provides term loans ranging from KES 1,500 to KES 250,000 for eligible merchants.

  • Taasi Pochi extends similar credit options to Pochi la Biashara users, with access to instant loans ranging from KES 1,000 to KES 250,000 via the M-PESA App or USSD 3348#.

To qualify for Fuliza Biashara and Taasi products, merchants must have operated an active business till or Pochi wallet for at least six months. Upon approval, funds are disbursed directly to their M-PESA wallet, with repayment terms ranging between 14 and 30 days.
