Rear door window and power lock not working | SwedeSpeed

Posted on December 11, 2024 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Rear door window and power lock not working | SwedeSpeed

The DDM sends the LIN signal out to the rear door(s).
Below are the LIN signal voltage out from the DDM. LIN uses a 1 wire signal to/from each device.
#C1:20 Communication LIN 5 – 8 V 5 – 8 V Communication with driver’s door control panel. Communication with control modules in rear doors.
#C2:4 Communication cable, LIN 5 – 8 V 5 – 8 V Communication with left camera module (LCM) / right camera module (RCM).

Look at the DATA communication LIN, 2.2 for the DDM
List of components pages show what each module number name is for.
Check 3/128, LDM, Left Door Module, pin 20 for LIN 5-8 volts.
You may have a failed 6/59 LR door window motor
Try to check for voltage out of 3/128 LDM on pin1 and 12 when pressing the switch.
The voltage switches on pin1 and pin 12 to roll up.
Ii is not that uncommon to loose auto up/down. Just hold the driver switches up to 2-3 seconds after closing.
You may also hear the window clunk in the up holding switch position.

This is what VIDA say about the code and other door info.
Operating the window from the driver’s seat
The window operation is initiated via the switch on the control panel (3/176).
The power window motor on the driver’s side is regulated directly by the driver door module (DDM) (3/126). The power window motor on the passenger side is regulated via CAN communication from the driver door module (DDM) to the passenger door module (PDM) (3/127). Signals for operation of the rear driver’s side window is sent from the driver door module (DDM) to the rear window via LIN communication. Signals for operation of the rear passenger side window is sent from the driver door module (DDM) to the passenger door module (PDM) via the CAN network and then on to the rear window via LIN communication.

Operating the front window on the passenger side
The passenger door module (PDM) (3/127) only operates the front passenger side window. The window is operated by the switch in the control panel (3/83). The signal is sent to the power window motor on the passenger side via the passenger door module (PDM).

Operating the window in the left rear door
The left rear door module (LDM) (3/128) can only operate the left rear door window. The window is operated by the switch in the control panel (3/19). The signal is sent to the power window motor in the left rear door via the left rear door module (LDM).

Operating the window in the right rear door
The right rear door module (RDM) (3/129) can only operate the right rear door window. The window is operated by the switch in the control panel (3/21). The signal is sent to the power window motor in the right rear door via the right rear door module (RDM).

Activating the child lock
If the child lock is activated via the driver door module (DDM), the rear windows cannot be operated from the rear doors. The child lock is operated via the switch in the control panel on the driver’s side. A signal is transmitted to the driver door module (DDM) and on via LIN communication to the left rear door module (LDM) and right rear door module (RDM), which block window operation in the respective door.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
The driver/passenger door module (DDM/PDM) both sends and receives information via a standardized serial communication method – LIN (Local Interconnect Network). The following components communicate on LIN bus 1:
Left/right door module (LDM/RDM).
Switch panel in driver’s door
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
Signal missing.
The control module’s test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
Control module supplied with power.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
None.
Possible source
Open-circuit in the communication cable.
Short-circuit to ground in the communication cable.
Short-circuit to supply voltage in the communication cable.
Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals.
Open-circuit in terminals.
Short-circuit in connections.

The driver door module (DDM) uses LIN communication to communicate with the control panel for power windows and door mirror operation in the driver’s door. The central locking control panel in the driver’s door in directly connected to the driver door module (DDM). The driver door module (DDM) receives input signals from the control panels, at which time it performs the function or uses CAN or LIN communication to forward the signal to the control module that will perform the function.

The following functions can be controlled via the control panels:
all power windows
child safety locks
operating the door mirrors
central locking.
Passenger door control panels
