Rashmi Balani’s story begins with a suitcase full of ambition and a heart set on the skies. In 2010, she made a life-changing decision to join Jet Airways as a cabin crew member—a leap into the unknown that was backed wholeheartedly by her mother. That belief, that steady presence behind her, gave Rashmi the confidence to chase her dreams in aviation. It wasn’t just a job. It was her first real taste of independence, responsibility, and discovering who she truly was. But the glamour of the skies came with its own set of clouds. Long, demanding hours and constant time zone shifts tested her limits, yet through it all, Rashmi wore her uniform—and her smile—with pride. What those years taught her went beyond service; they taught her grace under pressure, emotional intelligence, and the golden rule of thriving in fast-paced environments: don’t take things personally. It was a lesson she tucked away for later—one that would become her superpower. Even while cruising at 35,000 feet, Rashmi’s mind often drifted toward stories. Not just the ones passengers told her, but the ones that built brands, created connection, and shaped public perception. Beneath her crisp uniform was a storyteller waiting to be heard—and a deep curiosity about fashion, communication, and brand building. Slowly, she began to feel it: her runway wasn’t just in aviation—it was in Public Relations.

As if guided by intuition, Rashmi began carving a new path. She immersed herself in the world of branding, working with companies like MetLife, IZAAK AZANEI, and Aficionados PR, absorbing everything she could about marketing, strategy, and storytelling. With each new role, she refined her vision of what she truly wanted: to create her own agency—one that fused creativity with strategy, storytelling with impact, and brands with their true voice.

In August 2020, at a time when the world stood still, Rashmi took her boldest step yet. She launched RB COMMS., a boutique PR agency in the heart of Dubai, built entirely from passion, grit, and purpose. It wasn’t just a business move—it was the start of her legacy.

RB COMMS. quickly became a reflection of everything Rashmi stood for—intentional, strategic, and people-centered. With a storyteller’s heart and an entrepreneur’s hustle, she shaped campaigns that didn’t just look good but felt personal. Fashion, lifestyle, beauty, hospitality—no matter the industry, she had a way of making brands shine from the inside out.

From crafting high-impact brand stories and curating influencer collaborations to executing glamorous events and launching wellness initiatives like WellVibe, Rashmi and her team poured soul into every detail. RB COMMS. became a trusted name for labels like Shantanu & Nikhil, Jade by Monica & Karishma, The Dubai Dolls, Hazoorilal Legacy, Retreat Hotel Palm Jumeirah, and many more. And beyond every campaign or polished press release was Rashmi herself—relatable, grounded, and relentlessly driven.

Her secret? A deep understanding that brand building isn’t about noise—it’s about connection. And to do it well, you need to be more than a strategist. You need to be a listener, a creator, and above all, a believer. Even with a demanding career, Rashmi never stopped learning. From a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities in Jodhpur to hospitality training in Jaipur, and later, fashion marketing at FAD Institute and styling studies at the London College of Style in Dubai—she kept sharpening her edge. Every course, every skill, every pivot added depth to her journey.

But what truly sets Rashmi apart is the authenticity she brings to every room she enters. She didn’t just build a company—she built a safe space for brands to find their voice and for women, especially, to see that reinvention is always possible. Today, Rashmi Balani isn’t just a PR professional—she’s a beacon for what it looks like to follow your gut, build with heart, and turn experience into purpose. From high-flying days in aviation to founding one of Dubai’s most exciting PR agencies, her story is proof that with courage, creativity, and a mother’s faith—you really can take on the world.
