Curious question. does anyone know what is the weight of the chassis of the pre-update (2006-2009) vs the post-update of (2011-2013)? (minus he parts being the auto trans and the tank variance has a very large effect on curb weight between the years due to improvements. )

That and the 2010 which is a weirdness thing which im reading it the post update just with preupdate exterior or it was a 2010 vs 2010.5 thing (I have seen the late year one with the remodel exterior though)

(Edited)

They’re the exact same chassis from 2007 to 2013. The only differences are exterior and interior.

  • 2006= First and only year that had a minimal chassis difference (strut tower area was a bit weaker and they had to include the strut brace from factory)
  • 2007= Strut tower area was reinforced with extra braces on firewall and they did away with the factory installed strut brace. Also it was the last year with the original style center tunnel console.
  • 2008= First year with the redesigned tunnel console
  • 2010= Last year of pre-facelift and also last year manual transmission was offered.
  • 2011= First year of facelift (only different shape of the headlights, tail lights, bumpers and fenders).
  • 2013= Last year of C70 production

2010.5? I think you have a 2011 model year. Which was built in late 2010. For example, mine is a 2007 model year, built in December 2006.

Minus 2006 that is, so basically component weight is what is the main difference between the years?

This is what I have gathered:

Wheelbase Length Width Height Weight
2012-2013 2,640 4,613 (181.6 in) 1,834 (72.2 in) 1,400 (55.1 in) 1750kg
2011 2,640 4,613 (181.6 in) 1,834 (72.2 in) 1,400 (55.1 in) 1651kg
2007-2010 2,640 4,582 (180.4 in) 1,820 (71.7 in) 1,400 (55.1 in) 1645kg

still a 100kg difference is a wow even with the lighter tectonic.
