Although I have already posted this message in my presentation, I want to share the problem I have with the sound system to seek opinions that can help me solve it.
For almost a year I have noticed that the rear speakers of my car work much lower than the power of the front ones. I went to the dealership and when they did sound tests putting everything in front and everything in the back, they were able to verify that this was the case, transferring the matter to Volvo to solve it. After a wait of about two months, they asked me to do a sound test from my mobile phone with an app to measure the intensity of the sound at maximum power putting everything in front and then everything in the back, transferring that result to the central office. The result was 89db in front and 75db in the back, this measurement detects a huge sound imbalance taking into account that each increase of 10db means approximately double the perceived sound.
After another long wait of more than a month, they communicated the response from the brand, saying that this is the normal configuration of the equipment and that it is because it is designed to sound towards the driver. This answer makes no sense as the system itself has several settings to direct the sound: towards the driver, towards the back or towards all the speakers, and none of them increase the rear sound at all.
I have contacted the technical service of Bowers and Wilkins to consult them on the matter, they have attended me very kindly, asking me for all the information and answering me that this operation is not normal at all and referring me to Volvo to solve this problem.
I contacted the customer service of Volvo Spain to inform them of the problem and they answered me that the only answer was the one that the dealer had communicated to me, without looking for any solution.
After searching on Google I found several posts in forums from other countries where several owners referred to this same problem. It seems that cars with the new Android Automotive software have the same problem on both B&W and Harman Kardom systems, which makes a lot of sense since the sound system performance has already been reduced by removing settings that were present in the Sensus system, some as important as the equalizer, balance, fader, and which have now disappeared with the consequent detriment to the sound performance.
I find it inconceivable that a brand like Volvo, considered high-end, would ignore the problem in this way and, above all, treat the customer in such an inadequate way, especially considering the high price of this sound system.
I hope someone can give me some advice or tell me their experience if they have had a similar problem.
