Phil Lamb
Phil Lamb, Director of Philanthropy of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation joins the Green Business Podcast. Today, you will learn from a successful steward of wildlife how to create, sustain and grow private/public partnerships so that the vital resources of our environment can be championed and cared for.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Phil Lamb discuss the following:

  1. First of all, can you explain the mission of Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation?
  2. We noted that TPWF has raised and invested over $275 million in Texas’ outdoors.  That is an impressive sum!  Can you tell us how you select projects to support?
  3. In terms of partnership, we also understand TPWF has partnered with mender, a technology sustainability company.  Can you tell us briefly what the impact of that partnership was?
  4. A tough question, as we know things are in the early stage – but can you tell us how federal budget cuts may impact the TPWF mission?
  5. Can you share a tip for our listeners about the best ways to engage with nature and support outdoor recreation and beauty?

PHIL LAMB, TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE FOUNDATION

Phil Lamb joined Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation in June 2021 as Director of Philanthropy. In this role, he stewards a portfolio of major gift donors and engages both new and longtime supporters around TPWF’s mission and priority projects. He also leads many of TPWF’s corporate partnerships and capital campaigns, including oversight of campaign implementation—most recently, the renovations at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens.

Before joining TPWF, Phil served as Director of Development for the Rolling Plains Quail Research Foundation, where he spearheaded a rebranding effort, recruited new board members, and secured more than $8 million in support of research initiatives and facility upgrades. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years as a litigator and general counsel in Dallas.

A dedicated conservation volunteer, Phil has long supported TPWF’s Stewards of the Wild program and currently serves on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Upland Game Bird Advisory Committee.
