On April 4, 2025, Porsche, in collaboration with the Glinicke Group, opened its first Classic Centre in Germany. This facility will provide a range of services, including restorations and spare parts supply specifically for classic Porsche models. The establishment of this center enhances the support available to both modern and classic car owners, emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainability and individualization.
The Porsche Classic Centre Kassel features a modern showroom and workshop, offering professional restoration services and the sale of historic models. It boasts access to over 80,000 spare parts for vehicles that have not been produced in over a decade, ensuring comprehensive support for customers. This center is the fifth of its kind globally, joining similar facilities in France, the Netherlands, Norway, and Switzerland, and it complements 19 other Classic Partners throughout Germany.
Alexander Fabig, Vice President of Individualisation and Classic, highlighted the importance of the project, stating, “Our modern and classic cars are usually treasures in our customers’ garages.” The Glinicke Group has been associated with the Porsche brand for 75 years, and the new center is situated in a location where wholesale activities began in the 1950s, blending historic architecture with contemporary design.
The opening ceremony attracted 356 attendees, including motorsport figure Walter Röhrl, who shared insights from his racing experiences. The event also showcased notable vehicles such as the Porsche 959 and the 918 Spyder. The center’s establishment marks a significant addition to the region, providing specialized consultation and support for classic vehicle enthusiasts.
Porsche continues to extend its services for classic vehicles, offering a wide range of spare parts and accessories for all road-legal models. The company facilitates restorations not only through its Classic Centres but also directly at the factory, with around 100 classic units being restored annually. This comprehensive approach ensures that Porsche owners can maintain and restore their vehicles to the highest standards.
