Automotive cross-brand promotions don’t get any smoother, richer and caffeinated than this, as Porsche joins forces with St Ali coffee.
Footware, jewellery, and even perfume brands have seen their fair share of automotive marketing crossovers, but now Porsche has aligned with Melbourne-based boutique coffee roasting brand, St Ali, to create perhaps the most obvious automotive blend – literal cars and coffee.
The collaboration has produced a coffee bean product that combines three different flavours from Brazil and El Salvador. To be sold exclusively at Porsche dealerships and through the brand’s online store, the Porsche X St Ali coffee beans feature packaging presented with an image of the 1973 Targa Florio-winning 911 Carrera RSR ‘R6’ in Martini Racing livery.

This car, developed from the road-going 1972 2.7 Carrera RS into a Group 4-spec racer, featured a 2.8-litre flat-6 with Bosch fuel injection and a power output of 221kW (300hp) but with a kerb weight of just 840kg. That’s 263kW per tonne, higher than the 255kW/t power-to-weight ratio of the new 2025 Porsche 911 GTS hybrid.
The rear ‘duck tail’ spoiler featured extensions on each of the rear arches for extra downforce, and it was fitted with wide wheels (9-inch front, 11-inch rear) from the Porsche 917 Le Mans racer.

The coffee itself is blended in small batches in St Ali’s Melbourne ‘roastery’ and offers “a silky-smooth mouthfeel, bold richness, and bright acidity”, per the Porsche press release.
The flavours in the blend are:
- Paubrasil – from the Cerrado Mineiro region in Brazil, this unique coffee, known for its smooth, full-bodied flavour and prestigious Protected Designation of Origin status, delivers a balanced, rich profile that mirrors the luxurious experience of a Porsche vehicle.
- CarmoCoffee Peaberry – grown from the Brazilian specialty coffee exporter, CarmoCoffees, this selection undergoes meticulous natural processing to offer bold, rich espresso with exceptional depth and character.
- Finca Mauritania – hailing from the acclaimed fifth-generation coffee producer, Aida Batlle, this washed-process selection from El Salvador’s Finca Mauritania introduces a vibrant acidity that elevates the blend to new heights, making it a true sensory experience.
As a brand, Porsche has been synonymous with ‘cars and coffee’ enthusiast gatherings around the world for decades, but in the interests of a more detailed understanding of this particular brew, the Drive team has secured some beans and will sample the Porsche X St Ali blend to let you know what it’s like!
