Planning For 125k Service (SI6) | SwedeSpeed

Posted on June 4, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Planning For 125k Service (SI6) | SwedeSpeed

My ’13 S60 T6 just hit 120k and I’m hoping to get a bunch of work knocked out soon as a sort of 125k service. I was curious what others have done/had the dealer do at similar millage. I’m also hoping to organize my thoughts and plans. Below is a list of what I hope to take care of, along with links to parts. If anyone has feedback on part choices feel free to let it fly.

MAINTENANCE:

  • ATF flush with drain pan clean: I did this job at 95k, but I drive my car hard in the summer. I’m considering dropping a magnet in the drain pan and was curious if anyone else had done so. Fluid I plan on using: Amazon.com
  • PCV Service
  • Coil packs: In the 50k I’ve owned my car I’ve never changed the coils, and I’m not sure when/if the previous owner did either. This has me on edge, and as such I plan on buying a cheaper kit as a stop gap till I order OEMs. Plan on using these, was curious if anyone has? 2010 Volvo V70 L6 3.2L 6 Piece Performance Ignition Coil Set TRQ Performance ICA70991
  • Spark Plugs: Also done at 95K, they could be replaced.
  • Suspension Refresh: I plan on installing iPd lowering springs and since I’ll be in there…? Planning on getting new inner and outter tie rods as my inners are shot. Also assuming I’ll need new ball joints, maybe endlinks. I’m also hoping to get new shocks/bushings and bearings but don’t know if it’ll be in the budget.
  • Front/Rear Diff fluid change: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-differential-fluid-change-kit-liqui-moly-lm2048kt#description
  • Haldex Service: Was just going to replace the fluid, any one know how likely the orings are to fail? https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-aoc-haldex-gear-oil-1-liter-31325136
  • Brake Refresh: I plan on replacing my front pads with Brembo ceramic pads, and flushing my brake fluid with StopTech STR-600. Also hope to get stainless brake lines.

UPGRADES:

  • Transmission cooler and ATF temp gauge: While I’m a little nervous about this one, I hope to install a trans cooler with a T inline that I can hook a gauge to. I don’t have a DiCE and would love to know my temps while autocrossing. Gauge I plan on ordering: Amazon.com
  • iPd Lowering Springs: I live near iPd’s HQ which means I can save on tax and shipping, really no other reason for picking them then that. https://www.ipdusa.com/products/572…lvo-IPD-142680?srsltid=AfmBOop2TOgmHGwWLICU1v8rgVICcm7nAtVuEal2GWJdxtDkOHU8ohUa
  • Lower mount insert: I already have the two iPd mounts, my stock lower mount is currently shot. Powerflex PFF88-1130 Lower Engine Mount Insert, Volvo XC60, XC70, S80, S60, V70, V60
  • Ultra Racing Lower Brace (Maybe): I recently installed Ultra Racing’s strut tower brace and it completely changed the car’s handling characteristics. Budget limiting I hope to install this soon. Ultra Racing Lower Rear Cross Member Brace, S60/V60/XC60
