Lando Norris secured a stunning pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix in a dramatic Qualifying session. The McLaren driver clocked a 1:09.954 in Q3, edging out home favorite Charles Leclerc and teammate Oscar Piastri, who took second and third respectively.
Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton recovered from a practice crash to claim fourth, while Max Verstappen could only manage fifth in a challenging session for Red Bull. Isack Hadjar impressed by taking sixth for Racing Bulls, followed by Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), Esteban Ocon (Haas), Liam Lawson (Racing Bulls), and Alex Albon (Williams) completing the top ten.
Carlos Sainz missed Q3, citing grip issues, and starts 11th. He was followed by Yuki Tsunoda, Nico Hulkenberg, George Russell (who suffered a power issue), and rookie Kimi Antonelli (who crashed in Q1).

Drivers eliminated in Q1 included Gabriel Bortoleto, Ollie Bearman (Haas, who also carries a 10-place grid penalty), Lance Stroll (with a one-place penalty), and both Alpines of Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto.
The post-session spotlight also turned to Lewis Hamilton, who was handed a three-place grid penalty for impeding another driver during final practice. Despite a strong qualifying performance that saw him take fourth, the Ferrari driver will now start seventh on the grid, promoting Max Verstappen, Isack Hadjar and Fernando Alonso up the order.
