Restomod companies take classic cars and upgrade them with better powertrains, new suspension components, and premium interiors in an effort to make them nicer to drive while retaining that classic charm. Some companies, like Singer and Prodrive, do it exceptionally well. But almost always, the cars in question are decades old or more.
In this case, though, a company called Tedson Motors is taking the scalpel to a much newer vehicle: The Lamborghini Gallardo. That’s right, the very same Gallardo that was still on the market as late as 2013. The company calls it the Etna—and it sounds promising.

But the Etna isn’t a restomod in the traditional sense. Tedson says its Gallardo project is a “remastering” of the original Gallardo with less weight, more power, and a few custom design elements.
According to Tedson, the Etna is 450 pounds lighter than a traditional Gallardo thanks to a full carbon fiber body and a lightweight titanium exhaust system. The supercar is also 6.0 centimeters wider across both axles for better stability and comes with a custom JRZ Suspension with a “ProActive” setup designed specifically for this car.
The same factory 5.0-liter V-10 remains underhood, but Tedson tweaked the powertrain to produce 600 horsepower with a 10,000 RPM redline—that’s just over 60 more hp than the standard Gallardo. Buyers so inclined can spec their Etnas with Lamborghini’s E-Gear automatic, but Tedson says it will otherwise convert every car to a gated six-speed manual—the gearbox of choice.

Visually, the Etna looks nearly identical to a factory Gallardo, with just a few tweaks. There’s a new front bumper with a unique vertically oriented design that gives the car a more retro look, updated light fixtures front and rear, a revised rear-end design with a subtle lip spoiler, and 19-inch AL13 R-Series R110 wheels with a custom offset to fit the specifics of this car. The company doesn’t provide any specifics on the interior, but we have to assume it will be loaded with leather and other premium materials.
Tedson says it will only produce 77 examples of the Etna, with nine launch edition cars followed by a serial run of the remaining 68. Deliveries of the initial launch edition cars will begin in the Fall of 2026, with the remaining stock headed to owners sometime in 2027. Each build takes about 12 months to complete, and customers can work directly with the company to choose details like paint, wheels, and the interior.
