Porsche celebrates its Italian presence with an Italian luxury powerhouse.
Porsche is known for its extensive lineup of luxury performance vehicles with a distinctly German heritage; however, over the past three quarters of a century, the manufacturer has grown to amass an undeniable global presence with passionate enthusiasts all over. It was forty years ago when Porsche decided to plant roots in one of the world’s most cherished automotive capitals: Italy. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of its presence there this year, Porsche has unveiled two special-edition models, created in collaboration with one of Italy’s most cherished fashion houses.
That is none other than Ferragamo, a historic name in the Italian fashion world known for its innovation and luxury in creating shoes, and now for a bold, avant-garde aesthetic in its current line of ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, accessories, and more under the creative direction of Maximillian Davis. The two special edition models are based on the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS, and the Porsche Taycan 4S, the new electrified variant of the 911, and the latest version of Porsche’s inaugural all-electric luxury sports car model.
Both feature a specific color called Blusogno, which is inspired by a Ferragamo collection. The color is present throughout the exterior and interior, and pairs with blue Paldao wood for an elegant finish inside. Other special details throughout both limited editions include illuminated Ferragamo logos on the treadplates, red Porsche crests to contrast against the Blusogno color, and commemorative badging.
The overall configuration of the special editions of both the 911 and the Taycan is subtle as both brands have strong heritage and historic origins behind them. Each partner in the collaboration is known for its innovation over the years in its space, as well as its use of luxury materials and artisan craftsmanship, and the result is a beautiful, elegant celebration of Porsche, Ferragamo, and 40 years of Porsche Italia.
