A new Porsche Charging Lounge has opened in Hamburg-Rahlstedt, featuring advanced charging capabilities of up to 400 kW. This location, designed with Porsche’s distinctive design language, represents the implementation of a modular concept that allows for flexibility in adapting to various property shapes and quicker setup times.

Situated near the A1 motorway, this lounge is strategically positioned to serve northern Germany and provides convenient access for travelers heading to the Baltic Sea. It is equipped with four DC fast-charging stations that utilize renewable energy sources, enabling all electric Porsche models to charge efficiently. For instance, a current generation Taycan can achieve a charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 18 minutes.

This Hamburg location marks the fifth of its kind, joining existing lounges in Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld, Koblach, and Ingolstadt. The lounge offers outdoor seating with integrated speakers, a selection of beverages and snacks, a water dispenser, and modern restroom facilities. Additionally, high-speed WiFi is available for users.

In collaboration with Studio F.A. Porsche, the modular design of the charging stations emphasizes sustainability. While the foundation utilizes concrete, the primary construction materials include steel, stainless steel, wood, and stone, sourced from a renewable energy partner in Baden-Württemberg. The lounge is climate-controlled by a heat pump and partially powered by a rooftop photovoltaic system. The digital management system optimizes energy consumption, including automatic lighting adjustments based on occupancy.

Access to the Porsche Charging Lounges is facilitated through Porsche Communication Management and the My Porsche app, requiring a Porsche ID for entry. Automatic barrier access is available for users who link their license plates to their Porsche ID. Alternatively, customers can enter using a Porsche Charging Card or a QR code from the app, with billing processed centrally through the Porsche Charging Service or through immediate payment options.
