NCBA hosted an exclusive Women Entrepreneurs’ Empowerment Dinner at Allen Hotel, Kapsabet, Nandi County, bringing together over 100 women entrepreneurs, county leadership, and industry stakeholders. The event aimed to foster financial inclusion, provide strategic business insights, and strengthen collaborations that support women-led enterprises.
Empowering Women in Nandi County’s Growing Economy
Nandi County’s economy is largely driven by agriculture, with tea, maize, and dairy farming forming the backbone of local businesses. The county has experienced steady economic growth, with revenue increasing by 12.5% from KES 356.1 million in FY 2022/2023 to KES 600.2 million in FY 2023/2024. This growth is attributed to improved revenue collection systems, automation of key revenue streams, and expanded trade and investment initiatives.
