NCBA has officially opened its Tatu City branch, reinforcing its commitment to providing banking solutions in one of Kenya’s most dynamic urban developments. This marks NCBA’s seventh branch in Kiambu County, following the successful launches in Githunguri and Limuru last year.
Tatu City, Kenya’s leading Special Economic Zone, has become a hub for industrial growth, offering world-class infrastructure, reliable utilities, and improved road networks. These developments have attracted manufacturing firms, logistics companies, and SMEs, driving job creation and economic expansion.
Located at Eneo in Tatu Central, a Grade A mixed-use retail and commercial complex, the NCBA Tatu City branch commenced operations in November 2024. Its strong performance over the past few months underscores NCBA’s strategic focus on retail banking expansion.
“At NCBA, we prioritize customer convenience and accessibility. Our goal is to provide tailored banking solutions that cater to individuals and businesses within their communities. Whether it’s personal financing for residents, quick loans for employees, or asset financing for businesses, we are here to support them. By bringing banking services closer, we eliminate the need for customers to travel to neighboring towns,” said Dennis Njau, Acting Group Director of Retail Banking at NCBA.
Supporting Industrial Growth and Real Estate Development
Aligned with Kenya’s Vision 2030, Tatu City continues to invest in manufacturing, real estate, and commerce to drive industrialization. NCBA has been instrumental in supporting these sectors through specialized financial products and solutions.
With many companies in the region offering employee financial schemes, NCBA has partnered with businesses to provide customized credit solutions for their workforce. Additionally, the bank has collaborated with real estate developers in Tatu City to offer mortgage financing, catering to the growing population of over 25,000 residents, workers, and students.
Recognizing the branch’s increasing interbranch transactions, NCBA Tatu City has simplified banking for more than 100 businesses, whether already operational or in development, by providing seamless financial services.
Commitment to Sustainability
As part of its ongoing sustainability efforts, NCBA demonstrated its commitment to environmental conservation by donating 100 trees and planting five ceremonial trees during the branch launch.
“We are excited to bring NCBA’s services closer to our customers in Tatu City, and the positive community reception has been encouraging. By enhancing accessibility, we ensure that individuals and businesses can bank conveniently, without the need for long commutes,” said Tim Armitage, Group Director of Risk and Compliance at NCBA.
