More Pictures of the Hyundai ELEXIO EV SUV

Posted on June 17, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on More Pictures of the Hyundai ELEXIO EV SUV

A month after its official debut, Beijing Hyundai’s all-new ELEXIO is once again in the spotlight—this time with a comprehensive photo gallery that offers a closer look at the electric SUV’s sleek design and cutting-edge features. When the ELEXIO was first unveiled, Hyundai revealed impressive range claims of up to 700 kilometers (434 miles) based on China’s CLTC testing cycle.

Developed under the internal codename OE1c, the ELEXIO is underpinned by Hyundai’s state-of-the-art E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform), featuring an 800V electrical architecture for ultra-fast charging. The standout specification? A 101.7 kWh battery pack—making it the largest in Hyundai’s EV lineup aside from the flagship IONIQ 9.

Decoding the ELEXIO’s Origin: OE1c

As you may known, we have talked for long time about the OE codename. The vehicle’s internal codename OE1c offers insight into Hyundai’s EV development structure:

  • O: Represents the vehicle’s segment class.
  • E: Signifies its inclusion in the IONIQ family, as all IONIQ vehicles have the letter “E” in the second position of their codenames.
  • 1: Indicates it is the first generation of this specific model.
  • c: Refers to its target market — China.

This codename strategy mirrors that of Kia’s EV series, where models like the EV5 carry the codename OV: the “O” for the segment and the “V” as a dedicated EV identifier. This suggests the ELEXIO and EV5 are segment siblings, each designed to meet local market demands while leveraging shared technology platforms.

Performance and Charging

The ELEXIO offers more than just sophisticated naming. With a 700km range based on China’s CLTC cycle, it’s engineered for long-distance performance. The EV can be fast-charged from 30% to 80% in just 27 minutes, thanks to its 800V architecture — a hallmark of Hyundai’s E-GMP platform.

Next-Gen Tech: Interior and Infotainment

While the interior has yet to be fully revealed, reports suggest the ELEXIO will feature a futuristic, button-free dashboard. Key highlights include:

  • A massive 27-inch head-up display (HUD).
  • A powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip at the core of its infotainment system.
  • Integration of a large-scale language model (LLM), hinting at AI-powered voice controls and smart assistant capabilities.

Advanced Safety: Huawei ADAS Inside

For driver assistance and semi-autonomous capabilities, the ELEXIO will rely on Huawei’s advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). This collaboration is likely to give the vehicle cutting-edge safety and driving support technologies optimized for local infrastructure and user behavior.

Final Thoughts

The Beijing Hyundai ELEXIO is more than just another electric crossover — it is a symbol of Hyundai’s strategic EV direction in China. With a tech-forward feature set, strong performance metrics, and intelligent platform development, the ELEXIO is poised to compete head-to-head with local and global rivals like the Kia EV5.

As more details surface — especially regarding the interior and pricing — the ELEXIO may become one of the most talked-about EV launches in China for 2025.
