Personal Fitnesstrainer | Bodybuilder | Coach
In 1992, a young boy named Miso Rakita left his home in Bosnia and Herzegovina, escaping the turmoil of war. He arrived in Austria as a refugee, carrying nothing but hope and an uncertain future. The weight of displacement—both physical and emotional—took its toll. He lost 48 kg, a stark reflection of the struggles he endured. But fate had something different in store for him. One day, while walking through his new neighborhood, he noticed a small powerlifting gym. Something about it called to him, a whisper of strength in a time of weakness. Without hesitation, he told his father about it and asked to be signed up. It was in that humble gym that his journey to becoming a champion bodybuilder and personal fitness trainer began. Despite being the youngest and the only foreigner in the gym, Miso was welcomed with open arms. The seasoned lifters took him under their wing, guiding him through the world of strength training. Within a year, he transformed his body, gaining back 75 kg of solid muscle. It was more than just a physical change—it was a rebirth. He knew, deep in his soul, that fitness was his calling. However, life had other responsibilities. Miso trained as an electrician, taking on various jobs to support himself. Yet, his passion for fitness never wavered. In 2014, he made a life-changing decision—to become a certified personal fitness trainer. Shortly after earning his certification, he took a bold step and opened his own personal fitness training studio. His dream didn’t stop there. By 2016, Miso expanded his vision and opened a sports nutrition supplement store, determined to provide athletes with the best resources for peak performance. But he wasn’t just a coach or a businessman—he was a competitor. In the same year, he stepped onto the bodybuilding stage, competing in some of the toughest events. With relentless dedication, he sculpted his physique to its ultimate form, proving that age is just a number. At 50 years old, Miso achieved the best shape of his life and presented his hard-earned physique at the biggest bodybuilding event, the NPC Euromasters in Milan.

His competitive journey didn’t stop there. He went on to Spain, where he competed in the prestigious NPC Worldwide European Championship (Olympia Amateur). Among the world’s best, he secured a bronze medal in Classic Physique Master and placed in the Top 5 in the Bodybuilding Masters category—a testament to years of relentless training, discipline, and passion. Miso’s love for strength sports started long before he picked up a barbell. As a child, he trained in karate, visiting the gym only to build muscle for better performance in combat sports. But life had other plans, leading him to powerlifting and, eventually, bodybuilding.

His biggest achievement in powerlifting came when he won a silver medal at the European Bench Press Championship, successfully lifting 200 kg. After that triumph, personal challenges led him to step away from competitions, but his love for training never faded. In 2013, he decided to turn his passion into a profession, and in doing so, changed not only his own life but the lives of many others.

In 2014, during a vacation, he met Risto Vujanović, an experienced bodybuilder who would become a pivotal mentor. With Risto’s guidance, Miso prepared for his first bodybuilding competition—and he was hooked. What started as a challenge became his lifestyle. Bodybuilding is a sport that demands complete commitment. With 12 to 20 weeks of preparation before each competition, every meal, workout, and hour of rest is carefully planned. Miso embraced the grind, and the results spoke for themselves.

Despite his recent successes, Miso isn’t slowing down. His next goal? Competing in the USA, the heart of professional bodybuilding. Under the guidance of his coach, Dragan Paunović, he is working tirelessly to add 5–6 kg of muscle and step onto the stage in the prestigious 212 category. It’s a challenge that might take years, but for Miso, the journey is just as important as the destination.

Now, as he balances his life as a husband and father of twin boys, Miso is committed to passing on his knowledge to the next generation. His personal fitness studio is more than a gym—it’s a place where people transform, grow, and discover their strength, just as he did years ago in that small powerlifting club. Miso Rakita’s story isn’t just about bodybuilding; it’s about resilience, passion, and the unbreakable human spirit. And as he steps into the future, one thing is certain—he’s just getting started.
