mfldirect will provide charity Ben with a percentage of every used vehicle sale. It is estimated that the partnership will generate a donation of around £108,000 to support this mission.
The company will donate a pound from the sale of every car over a period of 6 months.
Craig Ford, Head of Sales, Marketing and Digital Solutions for mfldirect, said: “It’s tough out there. We’re hearing that cash flow, the cost of credit and inflation are putting dealers under a real strain at the moment.
“Particularly smaller independent and family run dealerships. We’re also seeing how the cost-of-living crisis is affecting people’s mental health and wellbeing, but in such a fast-paced competitive market, it’s sometimes hard to remember that there are people who can help.
“We do everything we can in our space to help motor dealer’s businesses thrive, but we’re not wellbeing experts. That’s why we’ve partnered with Ben.”
Approximately 380 UK auto dealership workers took part Ben’s annual Health and Wellbeing survey in 2024. Half reported experiencing stress (55%), poor sleep (53%) and low mood (44%) in the last year. A third say that they have low confidence (34%) or issues managing their mental health (32%).
Almost a third (29%) have struggled with the cost-of-living crisis, with 1 in 5 (22%) even skipping meals as a result. Yet, 29% of industry workers have sought no support for their health or wellbeing in the last year.
Matt Wigginton, Director of Partnerships, Engagement & Income at Ben, said: “We are already supporting many individuals and families who otherwise would have had to make impossible choices about which bills to pay.
“Support from partners like mfldirect is vital to our work which is life-changing, and often, life-saving. We want to make sure no-one in our automotive family faces life’s challenges alone – we’re there for automotive people who are struggling or in crisis.”
