Offered by Mercedes-Benz Financial, Mercedes-Benz Star Coverage is an Extended Limited Warranty Programme that offers comprehensive protection for your vehicle in its fifth and sixth year, regardless of mileage. There are two plans tailored for the level of assurance that you need, applicable to both ICE and EQ models.
Star Gold Coverage protects 12 key components of your vehicle, including crucial areas such as the engine (or electric motor for EQ EVs), transmission, drive axles, steering, suspension, brakes and the air con compressor. Also covered are all electronic control units (ECU), sensors, the engine’s cooling system and the fuel system. Power windows and central locking, too.
On top of what’s already covered by Star Gold Coverage, the Star Platinum Coverage plan takes protection to the next level with broad spectrum coverage of components. It includes items such as the AIRMATIC air suspension, the generator for EQ or plug-in hybrid models, 4MATIC, turbocharger, EGR system (exhaust gas recirculation) and the full air con system.
Also covered under Star Platinum Coverage are cabin features such as the in-car entertainment system, instrument cluster, power seat motors and the sunroof motor. The vehicle’s safety components – both active and passive – are also in the list, along with the anti-theft alarm.
Both Star Gold Coverage and Star Platinum Coverage can be purchased for one or two years, and just like your vehicle’s original factory warranty, it’s unlimited mileage, with coverage of up to RM250,000 per plan. With fast claims approval, downtime is minimised.

A note on Agility+, which is a flexible and customised financing scheme that also protects one against depreciation with its guaranteed future value feature. Select your preferred tenure, mileage and upfront payment and Mercedes-Benz Financial will calculate a fixed monthly repayment – the monthly payments are lower as you’re only paying a proportion of the vehicle’s value.
When the tenure is up, one can choose to settle the balance, extend the plan to cover the remaining residual value, or return the car with no further obligations – it’s that simple!
