Those years would unknowingly become the fertile ground where her many passions took root. From a young age, Maša’s talents sparkled across the arts. While attending “Kralj Petar I,” the oldest elementary school in Serbia, she excelled as a top student and graduated with straight A’s. But her education didn’t end in the classroom. In parallel, she completed a six-year piano program at the prestigious “Stevan Mokranjac” Music School, where her performances were met with rapt audiences and unwavering family support. Later, she would add solo singing to her musical résumé and step onto the national stage in more ways than one. Acting classes with renowned Serbian actor Nenad Nenadović gave her an early start in stagecraft. She learned diction, public speaking, and the art of collaboration, eventually performing in major Belgrade theatres. Her love for performance extended into her years in the “Horislavci” children’s choir, where she sang in opera productions at the National Theatre—including a standout solo in Lucia di Lammermoor, selected among just two children. Each moment on stage added to a mosaic of experiences that would one day define her media career. But Maša wasn’t just a creative force—she was also a science enthusiast. Passionate about math and chemistry, she enrolled in the elite “Third Belgrade Gymnasium,” majoring in natural sciences. There, she faced her first dose of reality: that even in an environment of prestige, injustice and superficiality could exist. Still, she held on to the friendships that mattered, and her love for analytical thinking sharpened—although a poor teaching experience eventually pushed her away from a career in mathematics.
When the time came to choose a university path, Maša—brimming with interests but unsure of which to pursue—opted for Law at the University of Belgrade. While she made strong academic progress and even organized her first major conference, something didn’t feel right. Doubt crept in. She felt stuck and uncertain—common feelings among youth navigating the maze of early adulthood. It was her mother who saw through the fog and encouraged her to pivot.
Changing faculties wasn’t easy, but Maša took the leap, enrolling at the Faculty of Media and Communication. It was the turning point she didn’t know she needed. Surrounded by a new community and studying in a program that celebrated creativity and communication, she blossomed. She joined the Communications and Public Relations program, refusing to transfer previous credits so she could start anew. That decision became a defining moment. She graduated with distinction—an average grade of 9.53—and gained hands-on experience through internships that bridged theory with real-world application.
One of those internships led her to Kurir, one of Serbia’s largest media houses, where she began as a cultural journalist. Under the mentorship of Ljubomir Radanov, she sharpened her skills in interviewing and storytelling. Just two months later, she was officially hired. Her ascent was swift. After a successful run in print journalism, she transitioned to television, gaining even more visibility and extending her reach into entertainment and celebrity media.
Though she had once feared falling behind her peers due to switching faculties, Maša became the first among her circle to land a full-time job in her field. Soon, her career expanded to include PR roles—starting with organizing a major press event for a biopic about bodyguard Goran Dželatović “Ajkula.” She embraced the world of PR with the same energy and discipline that marked every step of her journey.
She also launched and hosted her own television segment, Mašin izazov (Masha’s Challenge), inviting celebrities to step outside their comfort zones—from go-karting to ninja warrior workouts. Then came her role as host of Stars, a daily entertainment news show. With her talent for connecting with people, Maša found herself interviewing the region’s most celebrated artists—and even global names like David Guetta and Johnny Depp. Her career doesn’t follow a nine-to-five script. She thrives on the unpredictable, always ready to chase a story at any hour. For her, media isn’t just a job—it’s a calling. As her reputation grew, so did her responsibilities. She became the PR manager for two major music festivals—Plan A Fest and Balkan Youth Fest—events that bring together some of the biggest names in regional music. Most recently, she launched Mašin podkast, where she spotlights inspiring voices across industries—from actors and athletes to business moguls and creatives. At just 26, Maša has accomplished more than many do in a lifetime. Her five years in media have been marked by fearless reinvention, discipline, and a commitment to excellence. Beyond journalism, she’s carved out a powerful voice as an influencer and public figure. She understands television production, directing, editing, organizing, and storytelling from the inside out.
