The 2025 Hyundai Palisade carries on doing what’s made it so popular since its introduction five years ago — being an excellent midsize SUV with style, space, technology, and a bit of performance.

The 3-row Palisade seats up to eight passengers and ensures they get there safely and contentedly. It’s loaded with technology to create a comfortable and enjoyable ride.

It comes in seven different trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, SEL Premium, Limited, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy Night Edition. Buyers should find the right mix of premium materials, helpful technology, and on-road capability somewhere in that group.

The Palisade competes in what may be the toughest segment in the market. Its competitors include the Honda Pilot, Toyota Grand Highlander, Ford Explorer, and even its cousin, the Kia Telluride. Let’s see what the Hyundai Palisade offers inside.

Passenger Room and Comfort

Let’s Take a Look Inside the 2025 Hyundai Palisade

Offering three rows doesn’t always guarantee everyone will be comfortable. Fortunately, when it comes to the Palisade, even dwellers of the third row will be reasonably happy with their place in the vehicle. The second row offers 42.2 inches of legroom, which places it near the top of its class. The third row provides 31.4 inches, which is more in line with its competition.

The Palisade offers seating for seven or eight. If you select captain’s chairs for the second row, seven is the number. Those chairs fold forward, allowing easier ingress to the third row; however, the standard second-row bench seat also folds forward for convenient access to the back bench as well.

Not only does everyone enjoy plenty of space, but heated seats are available in all three rows, and ventilated seats can be had in the front and second rows, adding to their comfort level.

Features and Tech

The Palisade makes it easy to see what you’re listening to and where you’re going with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. That same screen can also allow you to pay for parking or gas using Hyundai Pay. It’s also home to your wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions.

If you link up with MyHyundai and the Bluelink app, you can also access your personal calendar, check the weather, check on various vehicle systems, sync your digital key, and more. A Wi-Fi hot spot is standard issue, and you get three months free to try it out.

You can add the Passenger Talk feature to improve driver safety and create a more pleasant environment. This in-vehicle audio system permits the driver to speak directly to second- and third-row passengers without having to turn around or shout. If you move into a Limited or higher model, a 630-watt, 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system offers concert hall-like quality.

The safety and convenience tech can include a surround-view monitor, head-up display, Lane-Following Assist, Remote Smart Parking Assist, Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and more.

Materials and Design

The Palisade is Hyundai’s flagship model, and as such, enjoys a premium look and feel that rivals its luxury cousins from Genesis. While the entire lineup enjoys plenty of upscale appointments like soft-touch materials on the door panels and armrests, it’s when you get to the SEL Premium trim level that the cabin feels like a near-luxury space.

That begins with the H-Tex trimmed seats, and once you get to the Limited edition, you can opt for Nappa leather. Regardless of material, heated front seats are standard across the board.

Hyundai redesigned the dashboard for 2025, giving it a simpler, cleaner look and feel. The climate controls are basically all buttons, making for a more intuitive setup for the driver and passenger. The Ergo-Motion Seat, which is typically found in the Genesis lineup, caters to the Palisade driver’s comfort at the Calligraphy level. It offers a variety of massage and movement functions that can make running across town or across the country a much less taxing experience.

Cargo Room and Flexibility

The Palisade provides plenty of cargo room. With all three rows up, there is 18 cubic feet of space, which increases to 45.8 cubic feet with the third row flat, and 86.4 cubic feet with both rear rows down.

The third-row seats split 60/40, accommodating longer objects while still allowing for as many as three additional passengers. Once you get to the Limited trim level, a power-folding third row is available.
