The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an all-electric compact SUV that does its Mustang name proud with sporty looks and powertrains that back them up. Yet, as a 5-passenger SUV, it provides all the versatility and practicality that individuals and families are looking for in a daily driver.
The 2025 Mustang Mach-E boasts an impressive range of up to 320 miles between charges and horsepower that ranges from a competent 264 horsepower to an impressive 480 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque, which enables a blistering zero-to-60 mph time of just 3.5 seconds. Like the Mustang sports car, the Mustang Mach-E comes standard with rear-wheel drive (RWD). Like an SUV, however, it offers all-wheel drive (AWD) as an option — great for enhanced traction in foul weather and for better handling in general. There’s even a Rally model designed for dirt-track antics.
Yet, it’s inside where the Mustang Mach-E most differentiates itself from any other Mustang you might know. Practicality and comfort shine here, as does impressive technology. Let’s take a look inside.
Passenger Room and Comfort

The Mustang Mach-E has room for five and can comfortably seat four adults. After spending many hours and driving many miles in it, we can attest to its comfort. The driver’s seat has generous legroom for taller drivers, and we found its shape supports a variety of body types. Heated front seats are standard on all models except the base, where they’re optional, as is a heated steering wheel.
In the back, legroom is good at 38.1 inches. We also appreciate the air vents for rear passengers in the center console, which is always a good thing for human and pet passengers alike.
Features and Tech

The first thing you’ll probably notice upon stepping inside the 2025 Mustang Mach-E is its vertically oriented touchscreen in the center of the dash. Measuring 15.5 inches, it makes a statement. It’s also your command station and the main interface for everything from audio and climate settings to the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
We found the screen has crisp graphics and is quite responsive to touch. While most settings require said touch, there is a large rotary dial at the bottom of the screen. Its main use is to turn up or down the volume, but it can switch roles on the fly. For example, when you touch a climate setting on the touch screen, the dial can adjust the temperature or fan speed.
All Mustang Mach-E models also feature a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster with crisp graphics. One of the best tech features of the Ford Mustang Mach-E is BlueCruise. Ford’s hands-free driving system can be had as a one-time purchase or as a subscription. It does a remarkable job on highway driving. We’ve used it for countless miles and find ourselves far less stressed and taxed upon arriving at our destination. You can’t put a price on that.
Materials and Design

All Mustang Mach-E models come with a version of Ford’s ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery. Every trim but the base model is perforated, and we found the material comfortable and well made.
Another aspect we really like is the soft, cloth-like material covering much of the dash. It’s so much better looking and feeling than the hard plastics often found in vehicles around this price point. It looks and feels of quality, especially when it’s housing the ear-pleasing B&O premium audio system that comes on all but base trim Mustang Mach-E models.
Cargo Room and Flexibility

The Mustang Mach-E offers great cargo room for its size and design, allowing you to pack more for your trips or simply not worry if you buy a bit more than expected at the store. With the rear seats up, there is 29.7 cubic feet of space. Fold the seats and it opens up 59.7 cubic feet. We also like the hidden compartment under the rear cargo floor — a perfect place to store this EV’s charging cord.
But that’s not all: Unlike some other electric SUVs, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has a front trunk or frunk. It has a deep and usable 4.7 cubic feet of space and is even drainable should you make it an impromptu ice chest. It’s details like that which make the Mustang Mach-E ideal not just for the journey, but for enjoying the destination, too.
