LUFKIN, Texas — Lemon Seed Marketing hosted its fifth annual Lemon Seed Conference on Jan. 26-29. This year’s event, titled “Get a Clue: Keys to Unlocking the Marketing Mystery,” was full of educational and networking experiences, and for the first time it was open to all in the home service industry.

“By opening our conference to a broader audience, we were able to welcome over 100 attendees this year, which was a record number,” said Crystal Williams, founder and lead strategist at Lemon Seed Marketing. “After four days of digging into home service industry trends, business best practices and networking, our attendees left invigorated and ready to tackle new adventures in 2025.”

Highlights of the conference include:

  • Success mentor and coach Kelly Schols offered advice for setting up your successor to those considering their exit strategy.
  • KPIs for 2025 were the focus for home services expert Trey McWilliams from McWilliams Heating, Cooling and Plumbing, naming those financial indicators that you must track this year.
  • Jim Hinshaw from Service Nation challenged attendees to face the fears that might be holding them back from their goals and tackle them head on.
  • In a CSR Academy session, businesses owners found help unlocking the full potential of their call centers and CSRs with panel of professionals, including Angie Snow, Erica Leonor and Michelle Meyers.
  • Team building events and themed dinners, including “Murder at the Manor,” “Mystery After Dark,” and “Smoke and Mirrors.”

“The long list of respected trades and home service industry professionals and general business experts who agreed to present at our conference guaranteed its positive impact,” said Emily Fleniken, creative director and partner at Lemon Seed Marketing. “An event is only as successful as its content and its attendees, and we had the best of both. Our attendees said the combination of inspirational stories and specific strategies will have a positive impact on their businesses this year. We’re already looking forward to 2026!”
