More medical appointments made it impossible for me to write a post for today in advance or write “live” any earlier in the day. In all honesty, the primary reason I am writing this post is that the two-day “hypersurge” in views/visitors of December 6-7 means this month could see the most views/visitors in a month in this blog’s history. Almost without exception, the blog receives more views/visitors on days I post than on days I don’t, so there you go.

Although the idiot anti-Semites will never acknowledge this, the Western world owes Israel a great deal. They have decapitated Hezbollah, destroyed Hamas and exposed Iran as being a paper tiger, at least until/unless the latter starts building nuclear weapons. That MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED!
The fall of the brutally evil Assad regime could not have happened without Israel’s actions. The group “ruling” Syria acknowledged as much in a public statement.
I Stand With Israel! Speaking of which, it has been reported–although “denied” by the Saudis–that the Arab kingdom has dropped its demand that Israel formally recognize a Palestinian state before normalizing relations. Quoting the linked piece: “Instead, Saudi officials now seek an end to the war in Gaza and a vague Israeli commitment toward a “pathway to a Palestinian state,” sources told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday evening.” DO NOT FORGET the Palestinians have been offered their own nation at least FOUR times, but have rejected the proposals EVERY time.

As reported here and elsewhere, but not receiving the attention I think the story merits, Honda and Nissan are beginning merger talks. The two companies are considering operating under a holding company, and soon will sign a memorandum of understanding, according to the report [in the Nikkei newspaper]. They also look to eventually bring Mitsubishi Motors, in which Nissan is the top shareholder with a 24% stake, under the holding company.
Fellow Japanese carmaker Toyota has pulled ahead of its domestic competition now selling more units per year than Nissan and Honda combined. That is true DESPITE Toyota not drinking the EV Kool-Aid. Could we see an updated version of the following?
Of course, the car pictured is a Honda S2000, which was a member of my Ultimate Garage 3.0. The public spin on the merger talks has been a potential merger would reduce the costs of developing EV platforms to compete with Chinese companies and with Tesla. However, Toyota is a strong example that people still want to drive ICE-powered cars.

Here is something I think is definitely worth sharing from a Free Press article about J.K. Rowling. Oh, she is the author of the enormously popular Harry Potter series of books. I have never read any of them nor seen any of the movie adaptations, but her success is worth recognizing and celebrating. Without further ado:
“So this week: a reminder that it is important to appreciate the remarkable people we do have.
One of those people is J.K. Rowling. In recent years, she has become a figure of some controversy. Not for any real reason, but because we live in an era where things that are self-evidently true are denied by maniacs who are then flattered by cowards. [emphasis mine] In any case, Rowling is not—and should not be—a figure of controversy. She is simply the most brilliant and successful writer of our age.
As recently as 2008, it was possible for Rowling to be invited to give a commencement address, and for her to receive a standing ovation. At that point, Ivy League students had not yet been programmed into absurdity and so they simply had the good fortune to listen to her…”

No real reason to show this picture except I think it’s a drop dead gorgeous automobile. I can still do that, right?
