Lamborghini isn’t shy of making limited edition versions of its range-leading supercar. There were many such examples based on the Aventador, such as the new Countach and the Centenario. But these have typically appeared late in a model’s lifecycle. However, the latest follows on pretty soon after the introduction of the Revuelto. Say hello to the Lamborghini Fenomeno. This newcomer is the latest from the ‘Few-Off’ collection of highly-exclusive limited editions. As a result just 30 will be made with 29 sold to the public.

Crisp New Suit

The Lamborghini Fenomeno which was touted a few weeks ago, makes its debut during Monterey Car Week, currently taking place in the US. The event has become the go-to place to introduce ultra-high end machinery to the lucrative US market.

Lamborghini Centro Stilo has taken cues from the brand’s racing activities and track-only machines to help create the Fenomeno. The Revuelto’s carbon-fibre monocoque remains in place. It now sports a crisp look that is made entirely from carbon-fibre. Fenomeno also wears dramatic-looking rims that measure 21-inch at the front, and 22-inch at the rear.

Racecar-derived aero includes the two massive air intakes on the bonnet inspired by the Huracan GT3 racecar. There are aero pieces all around the body, shaping air for additional downforce and efficiency. There is also an ‘S-duct’ at work that directs cooling air through the centre of the car. In profile you’ll note the slightly elongated tail inspired by the track-only Lamborghini Essenza. Furthermore those massive side intake feed the naturally aspirated V12 plenty of cool air to keep temps in check. Speaking of…

V12 Hybrid

The Lamborghini Fenomeno uses the Revuelto’s V12 hybrid powertrain as a starting point. As a reminder, that unit’s V12 produces 607 kW/725 N.m. Three electric motors take total system power up to 747 kW. The 6,5-litre V12 has been  ramped up to 621 kW. A bump in electrical assistance increases total system power to 794 kW/1075 N.m making it the most powerful Lamborghini to ever go on sale.

The benchmark zero to 100 km/h time drops to 2,4 seconds, one-tenth quicker than its donor. Its maximum speed remains unchanged at 350 km/h. The uprated drivetrain also features a larger battery for additional EV-only range… if that really matters to buyers of this car.
