Kashesh Bhatia Garg’s story is one of quiet rebellion, bold dreams, and fearless evolution — a journey that began in the culturally rich city of Ahmedabad, India, where traditional mindsets often outlined a woman’s life before she could ever dream it for herself. In a world where creativity wasn’t considered a career and higher education for women wasn’t celebrated, Kashesh chose a different path. She completed her schooling at AG High School and St. Xavier’s Loyola (2001–2003), followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce at H. L. Institute of Commerce, Ahmedabad (2003–2006). But deep inside, she knew she was destined for more than convention. Driven by a relentless inner fire, she pursued her passion for fashion, studying at the Gandhi Institute of Fashion and Textile (GIFT) in 2006, and later specializing in Fashion Styling at the National Institute of Design (NID) in 2009. Every step was an act of courage, carving a new narrative where none existed before. Her first job at a multi-designer store in Ahmedabad gave her hands-on experience with real designers and real customers — a world most around her couldn’t even imagine at the time. Fashion, where she came from, wasn’t seen as a “real career.” But Kashesh was determined to be among the first women in her family to rewrite the script. At just 22, she launched her very first brand, Zubbaa — a leap of faith with no industry connections and limited resources, fueled purely by a powerful vision to create. By 2006, she had embarked on her first exhibition, planting the seeds of a dream that would one day span the globe. The years that followed saw her wearing many hats — as Head Designer for a prominent multi-designer store in Ahmedabad, as the owner of her own workshop, as a global exporter reaching Singapore, and as the creative mind behind exhibitions across Mumbai and beyond. Recognition soon followed. Between 2011 and 2013, Kashesh was named one of the Top 5 Designers in Ahmedabad. She continued to build relentlessly, launching her flagship label, Kasheesh.K, in 2016, designing couture and bridal masterpieces for clients not just across India but across the USA, UK, Australia, and more. Her name became synonymous with luxurious craftsmanship and timeless beauty, featured in leading magazines like Hello and Grazia, and serving over 800 delighted clients with a growing team of 25 passionate creators.

But for Kashesh, the journey was never about standing still. In 2019, she decided to broaden her global perspective by enrolling in a Luxury Brand Management program at the London College of Fashion. The same year, she earned a prestigious spot in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program at IIM Bangalore — becoming the only woman entrepreneur selected from Gujarat. Her first international exhibition in Dubai that same year signaled the beginning of a thrilling new chapter.

In 2020, with nothing but determination and a heart full of dreams, she moved to Dubai — a city rich in culture and opportunity, but still a vast unknown for someone rebuilding her life and business from the ground up. She began working closely with her mentor, Tamanna Gupta, and spent two transformative years immersed in research, exploring conscious design, textile innovation, and the revival of ancient crafts. Through every challenge and discovery, a new vision was born.

In 2023, that vision took form as Kashesh Global — an ethical fashion house weaving sustainability, heritage, and consciousness into every thread. This wasn’t just fashion anymore; it was wearable art. Kashesh created a signature fabric handwoven from collected waste, crafted over a year on heirloom looms — a stunning blend of innovation and tradition, turning discarded materials into breathtaking masterpieces. Her commitment to meaningful creation earned her a rare honor: permission from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to incorporate his words into select garments, deepening the powerful narrative behind her designs.

Then came 2024 — a year of milestones that marked a bold new era. Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy donned a Kashesh Global creation, championing the brand’s mission of conscious fashion. Kashesh’s designs even graced the Cannes Film Festival, a dazzling testament to the label’s soaring global presence. That same year, she introduced ready-to-wear collections that resonated with the next-generation global audience, blending poetic quotes, asymmetry, and natural textures. Kashesh also launched Konscious Kollective, a platform rooted in creativity, education, and community — where fashion meets truth, and change begins with what we wear.

Yet her story stretches beyond the runway. In 2024, Kashesh launched her heart-led podcast series, “Conversations with K,” where she sat down with trailblazing women like Lara Tabet, Lucy Chow, and Suha to talk about vision, leadership, and inner power. Season One alone featured 14 inspiring voices, creating a ripple effect of empowerment across Dubai and beyond.

Each step in her evolution has been a bold answer to the question: “How can fashion change the world?” With every garment, every word, and every connection, Kashesh is weaving a new legacy — one built not just on beauty, but on meaning, sustainability, and conscious living. From her humble beginnings in Ahmedabad to her global debut at Cannes, her journey is proof that success isn’t about avoiding challenges — it’s about growing through them. It’s about daring to dream in places where dreams weren’t meant to grow, about building not just a business but a movement.

Today, as the Founder and Creative Director of Kashesh Global and Konscious Kollective, she remains passionately committed to mentoring the next generation — empowering young designers and women entrepreneurs to dream boldly, create courageously, and build businesses that leave a lasting legacy. Her work now merges fashion, sustainability, and storytelling in ways that are reshaping the very language of luxury, positioning Kashesh Global as a pioneering house of slow luxury and cultural couture.

And this is just the beginning.
