Jeep Offers Lower-Priced Wagoneer S

The Jeep Wagoneer S high-performance electric SUV has just begun arriving at dealerships, and Jeep has already introduced a lower-priced version. The speedy, road-oriented electric vehicle (EV) will now start at $66,995 (including a $1,795 destination charge).

It fits within the company’s two major strategy goals for 2025 — lowering prices and introducing its first EVs in the U.S.

A Quick, Pavement-Friendly Jeep

The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S is not the off-road vehicle you might picture when you hear the Jeep name. It’s not the full-size model the Wagoneer name might bring to mind, either.

Jeep’s first American EV is a high-performance, luxurious midsize SUV designed for aerodynamics (its boxy Jeep body is partly a costume, with a curved roofline hidden by a massive rear spoiler).

Every Wagoneer S — yes, even the new, lower-priced one — uses two electric motors for all-wheel drive (AWD) grip and up to 600 horsepower. Yes, 600 hp. In a Jeep.

New Base Limited Trim

When Jeep premiered the Wagoneer S late in the 2024 model year, buyers could only get it in a Launch Edition priced at $71,995. That model is still available in 2025 and, refreshingly, for the same price.

The new Limited trim gets its lower price, in part, by locking 100 hp behind a paywall. It ships with 500 from the factory. Buyers can unlock that power later if they want to with a “Propulsion Boost Package.” Jeep hasn’t fixed a price for the power upgrade.

Buyers of the Wagoneer S Limited trim will also forego a separate passenger screen, head-up display, ventilated front seats, and a few other niceties. The base model comes with a 9-speaker Alpine sound system instead of the 19-speaker McIntosh unit found in the Launch Edition.

No matter which Wagoneer S you choose, you get either a 48-amp Level 2 home charger or public charging credits of equal value through Free2move Charge. The Wagoneer S qualifies for the federal government’s full $7,500 EV tax credit.
