Jeep Brings Seven Concepts to Easter Safari

Jeep Brings Seven Concepts to Easter Safari

Posted on April 16, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Jeep Brings Seven Concepts to Easter Safari

Only a handful of vehicles in automotive history are so distinctive that they spawn a lifestyle and have a following. There may be no better example than the Jeep Wrangler.

Once a year, Jeep invites fans to gather in Moab, Utah, for an off-road festival celebrating the Wrangler, its Gladiator pickup offshoot, and other Jeep off-roaders. They flock into the desert mecca in Jeeps of every vintage, ready to hit the trails. They’re in Moab this week.

We’re big fans of the Toyota Camry, our Best New Model award winner for 2025. But if Toyota invited Camry owners to come together at a Lululemon, they probably wouldn’t get many cross-country drivers out of it.

Every year, Jeep brings a handful of unique one-off concepts to the Easter Jeep Safari to tease the faithful with capable modifications and evocative style ideas. This year, the Safari sees seven.

Jeep Convoy Concept

Jeep calls this one a “military-inspired, classic workhorse Jeep Gladiator with a design that stands the test of time, visually and functionally.”

We love the classic J-Series-inspired front end.

Jeep Bug Out 4xe Concept

This has a truck bed, but Jeep says it’s built from the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV). It “unites ultralight camping with overlanding for off-grid adventures,” with heavy use of carbon fiber to lighten its impact.

Jeep Rewind Concept

This would be the easiest of the seven to manufacture if Jeep wanted to. The company calls it a “nostalgic take on a Jeep Wrangler that gives all the feels of an era when loud neon colors were all the rage.” It’s essentially a paint job, with bright neons reminiscent of the late 1980s or early 1990s on a 2-door Wrangler.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Blueprint Concept

The Mopar parts brand always brings a concept to the Safari. This one, the company says, is a “rolling catalog of nearly 40 factory-tested and factory-backed items.” They include a lift kit, snorkel, cowl lights, high-top fenders, and tube doors. Because they’re all Mopar accessories, you could build this yourself from the current parts catalog.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser Concept

If the Blueprint is most of the Mopar parts catalog, the Sunchaser is a more focused take on a do-it-yourself Wrangler 4xe. Most of these modifications are also already available. But they follow a theme. Jeep says this is the “ultimate outdoor adventurer,” with “all the necessary gear for a full day of activities from sunup to sundown.”

Replacing the rearmost windows with high-mounted storage cases, however, would likely create real visibility problems.

Jeep J6 Honcho Concept

A riff on a classic late-1970s Jeep, the Honcho uses “production Jeep Performance Parts and accessories from Mopar,” the company says. It looks like a Gladiator but is actually built from a Wrangler. Its 6-foot bed is longer than the bed of today’s Gladiator.

Jeep Gladiator High Top Honcho Concept

Jeep engineers also converted a Gladiator into a Honcho salute. The company says the High Top Honcho “gives the world’s most off-road-capable midsize truck a new personality.” Forty-inch tires on white steelies and a sunset-colored paint job may make this the best-looking of this year’s crop.

The Easter Jeep Safari continues until Sunday. Same-day registration isn’t an option, but Jeep turns off registration each day for the next, so you can still sign up for a single day as late as Saturday.
