At just eight years old, Jazmine found herself in a silent battle—one she didn’t understand and couldn’t control. Trichotillomania, a compulsive hair-pulling disorder, became an invisible weight she carried for years, pulling out her lashes and brows without fully realizing why. What started as a personal struggle soon transformed into a relentless search for answers. As she grew older, she discovered an entire community of people facing the same challenge, yet real solutions remained out of reach. The frustration, the shame, and the exhausting cycle of hair regrowth and loss took a toll on her confidence. But rather than allowing it to define her, Jazmine turned her pain into purpose. Her academic journey took her through two prestigious institutions—earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Kent and later completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Law at Birmingham City University. Her education sharpened her analytical skills, deepened her understanding of human behavior, and strengthened her ability to think critically—skills she would later use in her entrepreneurial journey. Along the way, Jazmine gained hands-on experience in various industries. From interning at the Attorney-General’s Office in Ghana to volunteering with Support Through Court in the UK, she dedicated herself to helping others navigate challenges. She also explored digital marketing and human resources, working as a Marketing Manager at Raegan Advisors and contributing as a freelance content creator for over a decade. Each role shaped her, giving her a diverse skill set that would prove invaluable when she embarked on her own business venture. The turning point came when she realized that if the solutions she needed didn’t exist, she would create them herself. Determined to make hair growth easy and effective using natural ingredients, Jazmine founded Meeno Cosmetics—a brand that has since helped thousands worldwide regain their confidence. What began as a personal battle has now become a global movement, proving that self-care is not just about appearance—it’s about empowerment.

Meeno Cosmetics stands for more than just haircare; it represents resilience, healing, and community. Through her brand, Jazmine has built a space where people feel seen, understood, and supported. Her work has not gone unnoticed—she was honored with the Her-Abilities Award at the Women’s Choice Awards Africa 2024, a recognition celebrating women who have turned personal challenges into impactful ventures.

Even today, Jazmine continues to navigate the challenges of trichotillomania, but she no longer does so alone. The community she has fostered through Meeno Cosmetics has become a source of strength, reminding her—and thousands of others—that resilience is built in the journey, not just in the destination.

With a foundation rooted in determination, expertise in multiple fields, and an unshakable commitment to making a difference, Jazmine’s story is a testament to the power of turning adversity into opportunity. From law and marketing to founding a thriving beauty brand, she has redefined success—not just in wealth or recognition, but in the lives she continues to uplift every day. And this is only the beginning.
