Hyundai Motor Company is gearing up for a momentous occasion at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring 2025, celebrating its 10th consecutive year of participation in the legendary endurance race. Held on June 21–22, 2025, at Germany’s grueling Nürburgring Nordschleife, this event represents more than just a race—it’s a proving ground for Hyundai’s high-performance production models and a cornerstone of the brand’s motorsport DNA.
Aiming for Five TCR Class Wins in a Row
At the forefront of Hyundai’s racing campaign are two ELANTRA N TCR race cars, competing in the TCR Class, where the brand seeks its fifth consecutive victory. Team Europe will field the #830 ELANTRA N TCR, driven by Marc Basseng, Manuel Lauck, and Christer Joens, while Team Americas brings the #831 entry, piloted by Bryson Morris, Michael Lewis, Mason Filippi, and Robert Wickens, whose return after a hiatus highlights both determination and technological innovation. Wickens, a paraplegic athlete, will race using a specially adapted hand control system, embodying Hyundai’s inclusive spirit and pursuit of motorsport for all.
ELANTRA N1 Cup Car Debuts in SP3T Class
In a milestone moment, Hyundai’s ELANTRA N1 Cup car (known as the AVANTE N1 Cup car in Korea) will make its Nürburgring debut in the SP3T Class. This marks Hyundai’s expansion of its one-make race series to a global stage. Competing under car #303, this vehicle will be driven by an international lineup:
- Gyumin Kim – 2023 & 2024 Hyundai N Festival N1 Class Champion
- Jeff Ricca – 2024 TC America Champion
- Youngchan Kim – Hyundai Junior Driver & N Festival rising star
- Zhang Zhen Dong – 2024 TCR Asia Champion
Their combined experience and regional diversity demonstrate Hyundai’s global reach and commitment to nurturing motorsport talent.
A Decade of Performance Evolution at the Nürburgring
Since its debut in 2016, Hyundai has used the Nürburgring 24 Hours as a real-world lab for its N brand. The unforgiving 25.378-km track and 24-hour duration provide the ultimate test for performance, durability, and teamwork. According to Joon Park, Vice President and Head of N Brand Management Group:
“Hyundai N has leveraged the Nürburgring as a proving ground since the launch of the brand. This event underscores its strategic significance for validating the capabilities of Hyundai’s N models.”

Strategic Partnerships and Global Vision
Backing its Nürburgring 2025 campaign, Hyundai has partnered with leading suppliers such as Hankook Tire, Titan 7, and AST Suspension to ensure peak performance. These collaborations bolster the ELANTRA N1 Cup car’s competitive edge while signaling Hyundai’s serious intent in motorsports engineering.
In parallel, Hyundai is working to expand its one-make racing programs to Europe, further increasing brand visibility and attracting performance enthusiasts worldwide. This initiative strengthens loyalty among Hyundai N fans and promotes its racing DNA globally.
Celebrating 10 Years with Passion and Purpose
To commemorate a decade at the Nürburgring, Hyundai Motor is launching a dedicated promotional campaign, featuring behind-the-scenes content, race footage, and driver interviews. These efforts aim to spotlight Hyundai’s evolution from a challenger brand to a dominant force in the TCR Class and beyond.
