Hyundai Motor recently revealed its IONIQ 9 and the South Korean carmaker wants to be sure they offer the latest technology on its flagship EV. According to ETNews, Hyundai will ship the large EV SUV with the new NCM9 battery technology.

Advanced NCM9 Battery Technology

At the core of the IONIQ 9’s innovation is the high-performance NCM9 battery, developed by SK On. This battery is part of the advanced Super Fast (SF) series and offers a 9% improvement in energy density compared to earlier versions. With a nickel composition exceeding 90%, the NCM9 battery delivers exceptional efficiency, enabling extended driving ranges and rapid charging capabilities.

Performance and Efficiency

The IONIQ 9 showcases Hyundai’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle performance. With its NCM9 battery, the SUV achieves a driving range of over 500 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, it supports ultra-fast charging, reaching 80% capacity in just 18 minutes. These advancements position the new SUV as one of the most capable electric SUVs available.
