Hyundai Grandeur Facelift Spied for the First Time

Posted on April 22, 2025 By rehan.rafique No Comments on Hyundai Grandeur Facelift Spied for the First Time

Hyundai is gearing up to redefine luxury mobility with the Grandeur facelift with an ambitious plan, the launch of a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) model when launched in 2025. Now our colleagues at ShortsCar captured the prototype of the facelift model for the first time.

Hyundai’s Pioneering PHEV System

In a strategic move, Hyundai Motor Group has divulged plans to spearhead the development of the next-generation PHEV system. This initiative, shared with multiple parts partners, is expected to kick off in the latter half of this year. The goal? To seamlessly integrate this pioneering technology into the Grandeur facelift by 2025, marking a significant milestone in Hyundai’s electrification journey.

Development Partnerships and Timeline

Collaboration is key to innovation. Hyundai has already mobilized some partners to commence the development of components crucial for the new PHEV system. This collaborative approach underscores Hyundai’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive technology.

A Closer Look at the Second-Generation PHEV System

The upcoming Grandeur PHEV isn’t just any update—it’s a leap forward. Armed with a second-generation PHEV system, the vehicle is in the early stages of development but already shows promise of superior power performance and fuel efficiency. Compared to its predecessors, this system is a game-changer.

Enhanced Electric Range

One of the most anticipated features of the Grandeur PHEV is its ability to cover up to 100km on a single charge. This impressive range is made possible by a new high-density battery pack and two innovative in-house electric motors, currently under development.

The Strategic Shift Towards PHEV

Hyundai’s decision to develop a Grandeur PHEV, rather than a fully electric model, reflects a strategic approach to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles. This move is seen as a practical step towards sustainable mobility, offering consumers the best of both worlds: electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) capabilities.
